FAMILY PT3

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *FAMILY PT3 * *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life*.  *John.3.16*  Concerning this family that we have been discussing i want to hand us over to bro Paul to give us the final say on this matter. *WIVES* Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in *everything*. *Eph 5:22-24* *HUSBANDS* Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. *Eph 5:25-27* *CHILDREN* Children, obey your parents in the Lor...

FAMILY PT2

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *FAMILY PT2* *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life*.  *John.3.16*  We have seen how God so loved you and i that He choose to give us His only begotten son through the womb of the virgin Mary and how through that Jesus has a family and by so doing raised the family into a dignified union of not only parents and children but of parents, children and God at the center. The essence is for you to know that God is interested in all aspect of our human life and endeavors and He is interested in glorifying all of them so that we can be dignified through them. It follows that since God is at the center of it all and God is interested in them all it follows that we must consult and consider God's interest in any discision that we are making. The family by reason of God being at the center of everything has become the center of everything as well, the family is the first school...

LORD! WE ARE GRATEFUL

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *LORD! WE ARE GRATEFUL*. *Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!* *PS 150:1-6*. Indeed what a mighty God we serve, for seeing us through the year 2025 we return all the glory to Him because He did it out of love and the good news is that He alone can do it so if he has not done it we wouldn't have been where we are now especially being alive. We thank Him for all the oxygen we breathed without paying a dime, all the sleep that He woke us up from without consulting a specialist to help us to wake up, for all the healing that he gave us while we were s...

FAMILY

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *FAMILY* *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life*.  *John.3.16*  The bible told us that unto us a child is born and to us a son is given and he was not given from the air, it was through the instrumentality of a virgin and a man assigned by God to take of Him while on earth thereby giving the child a family and by extension give dignity to the family. The family is made up of father, mother and children so one can boldl say that Jesus was from a family. Jesus coming from a family does not in anyway means that God cannot bring Him to earth without passing through a family but for the fact that our God is a God of order He has to follow the order He set by Himself. The birth of Jesus into the family is a sign that God has entered into our families, it raises the family beyond the combination of father, mother and children but to a dignified union where God is involved and lov...

BOX LOVE PT2

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *BOX LOVE PT2* *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life*.  *John.3.16*  We reflected on how God boxed through the womb of the virgin a bundle of unimaginable and incomparable and inestimable gift of His only begotten son to you and i out of love not out of merit and we encouraged ourselves to try to resemble our father by boxing love for one another. The boxing of the gift of God was put this way by the scriptures. *For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace*. *Is 9:6*. The scriptures says "unto us" meaning that the gift was giving directly to us and efforts were made to ensure that the gift gets to each and everyone of us in equal measure so that no one will be cheated or fell cheated. The child was given to us t...

BOX LOVE

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *BOX LOVE* *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life*.  *John.3.16*  History has it that boxing day started In England, it marked a day when the wealthy would put gifts or money into "Christmas boxes" and hand them out to servants, trades people and the needy on the day after Christmas. The church later borrowed from it and started having offerings for the poor by putting a box in the church and the offerings collected shared among the poor on this day. Contrary to that God in his loving kindness gave man a box through the womb of a virgin to deliver to mankind, this time to deliver mankind from poverty of lack of Christ and slavery to sin and this gift cannot be quantified but still many still refused to accept his gift. *For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Couns...

CHRIST IS BORN

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CHRIST IS BORN* Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Lk 2:11. Dearly beloved, on this day that marks the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ i bring you greetings and message of hope because there is no better time for you and i to be hopeful than now when all our hopes seems to disappoint us. Today in the city of David a saviour has been born who is Jesus Christ. The name Jesus means a Messiah and the name Christ means "the anointed one" which simply put means that the anointed saviour is born to save us from hopelessness and despair. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus today i want to encourage you not to allow your faith go down no matter what you are seeing around you and no matter what you are hearing, keep hope alive because the Lord is our Emmanuel(God with us) and...

CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON* *Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary*. *Lk 1:26-27*. The number six is the number of man and the Angel was sent in the sixth month to deliver a message that will bring salvation to man, it was not a coincidence but a divine ordination manifesting at the time it was meant to manifest  The word of God made us to understand that everything under heaven has time and season and God being a God of order always accomplish all His tasks in time and season  *To everything there is a season. A time for every purpose under heaven*. *Ecc 3:1*. Bro Paul told us about the fullness of time, in other words God does all His acts in time just as we were told that there is time for everything under heaven  *But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a wom...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT28

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT28*. https://www.letusprayfellowship.com.ng/2025/12/continue-steadfastly-in-lord-pt27.html?m=1 *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. One simple thing that encouraged these believers to continue and continue steadfastly is that they had an encounter and they allowed that encounter to shape their lives, the encounter shaped how they lived, moved and related with one another. You cannot talk of an encounter without talking of transformation of life that is why St Paul told us that as they behold the glory of God that they were transformed and on this spiritual journey you can't be static, it is either you are moving upward or you are moving downward but for these believers they moved from glory to glory. Whenever an encounter takes place one of the things that it births is a better understanding of the personality of God. You understand...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT27

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT27*. *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. We were told that as they were beholding the glory of the Lord as in a mirror that they too were been transformed from one level of glory to another. We want to look at why they were transformed from one level of glory to another. In these beholding glory met glory giving a double glory and as such the lesser glory which is the glory of man had to increase because the less is always blessed by the higher hence the moment they encountered the better they were blessed from moving from glory to glory. *And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better*. *Heb.7.7*. This been said let us take a look at what the glory of the Lord means. The glory of the Lord is the totality of what makes God who He really is. When you see a king the authority he welds and commands, the ambience, the aura ...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT26

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT26*. *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. We were told that these believers beheld the glory of the Lord with an unveiled face and we said that the reason why it is called unveiled face is that it is the sight of faith, the eye of faith can never be covered and it can see as much as you want to see and it can see both physically and spiritually. Having said that we also said that what one sees in a mirror is himself which means that these people as they behold the Lord with an unveiled face they saw the Lord in them, they saw the image of God in them and bro Paul even went ahead to tell us that it was the glory of the Lord that they saw. *But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord*. *2Cor 3:18*. Before we...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT23

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT23*. *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. We talked about the eye of faith when we said that these believers saw the glory of God not with the physical eye which cannot see far but the eye of faith that can see far beyond the physical eye, that physical eye can see distance but the eye of faith can see tomorrow, the physical eye can be veiled to stop it from seeing but the eye of faith cannot be veiled. Amen!!! The bible discribed what they saw as one seeing something in a mirror, when you look at the mirror sir what do you see? Yourself right? Hear this, they saw themselves like God, or you can say that they saw God and God was like them. Now let us see what they saw. *Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cat...

We have said that one of the secrets that made this believers to continue steadfastly is the fact that they sought God with an open face not with a frowning face or a grudging face and as they sought him with an open face they saw the glory of the Lord. *But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord*. *2Cor 3:18*. Can you imagine seeking God and beholding Him as though you are seeing what is in a mirror? Tell me what will make you leave this kind of God after seeing Him as he is? No wonder they continued steadfastly. But the reason they were able to see Him like that was because they sought Him with an open face. This open face here can mean faith, yes faith because o...

We are gradually seeing what made these believers to continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrines and fellowship. We have seen that it was love that compelled them to do what they did according to what bro Paul told us. There is a reason why the love of God compelled them, the love of God did not just compel them for compelling sake but they saw something that made them did so, bro Paul told us that "they judged that Christ died for all" and delt that for Christ to die for all men this Christ is worth loving  *For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died*. *2Cor.5.14*  In their own judgement, they judged that if Christ died for all men it follows that all men have died and if all men have died by reason of Christ death it then follo...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT22

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT22*. *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Today i will like to start on a note of apology because i thought that i have come to the end of this episode until the Holy Spirit started showing me why these men continued steadfastly and we have no option than To obey the master and we have to on our path continue steadfastly as long as the Holy Spirit continues to help us. Amen!!! Before we concluded the last episode we were looking at what bro Paul told us that it was the love of God that compelled them and we have seen that when you love someone, that you will do what will make that person happy and not just doing it but that it has to be continued and steadfastly as well. *For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died*. *2Cor.5.14*  Let me clear something before we proceed and what i wan...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT21

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT21*. *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. It is said that nothing happens for nothing and for any action there is always a corresponding reaction. I know that you must be wondering why am making this kind of statement, well the answer is not far fetched, I found something that i want to share with you. I was trying to find out why these converts continued steadfastly without hesitation or frustration or without giving up irrespective of the problems of live that can make a believer loose faith easily and i found it in the words of bro Paul. Hear him, *But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord*. *2Cor 3:18*. First of all they sought God with open face not with a frowning face or an angry face but with a fa...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT20 (CONCLUSION)

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT20*. (*CONCLUSION*) *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. These kind of believers are very rare to see especially in our modern generation, they are a set of believers who having believed against all odds made up their mind to not just continued in the apostles doctrines and fellowship but continued steadfastly. You will agree with me that one of the reason or some of the reasons they continued steadfastly was that they continued. Had they not continued they wouldn't have had the more teaching that was equipping them for continuity. Even in ordinary sense one can still say that their continuity was as a result of mastering the act of continuity through their steadfastness, have you not heard that practice makes perfect? Another thing that helped them in contuing was that they were never in doubt as to whether the message can guarantee...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT19 (CONCLUSION)

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT19*. (*CONCLUSION*) *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Bro James told us that when we hear the word of God and do nothing about it that we are just deceiving ourselves which means that for us to be called believers we must hear and act on what we believe. *But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror*;  *Jas.1.22 - 23*. It is our obedience to the word of God that will tell whether we have actually heard the word of God or not. Have you ever wondered why a particular book in the scriptures is called the "Acts of the apostles" and not the Acts of God? The apostles heard...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT18

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT18* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Apart from the apostles doctrines, fellowship and the breaking of bread the other thing that they continued in steadfastly was prayer. So you notice that this people from all indications whole heartedly followed all that the apostles taught and did? Many people see prayer in different ways, but we are going to look at it from the angle of what we are teaching. These people followed the apostles in prayer meaning that they saw something that prayer does and decided to follow. The apostles themselves at a time went to Jesus to request that he teaches them how to pray and they tried to let Him know that John had taught his disciples how to pray already so they requested Him to teach them so that they too can pray. They saw prayer to be so important in their Christian calling that they decided to even...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT17

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT17* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. We have talked about eating together as a family which is evidence in the breaking of bread and we have said that at table that secret are revealed but there is more to that. At table the family come together to share brotherhood and love. In the breaking of bread heaven and earth unite, men are raised to the dignity of a god and are made God like, the barrier between divinity and humanity is broken and fellowship between humanity and divinity is established hence it is necessary that the breaking of the bread must be continued steadfastly to constantly keep in touch with divinity. It is one of the ways of showing special thanks to God for the gift of salvation as it is always done in thanksgiving to God not just for the gift of his only begotten son but also the gift of salvation(second chance af...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT16

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT16* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Apart from the fact that the bread is a bidding force for the believers the bread also binds the believers to Jesus who is the bread Himself, it make divinity to unite with humanity. It is the expression of the love of a loving father that cannot be expressed in words. The bread is a simbol of oneness, it tells them that they are all one irrespective of race, complexion or nationality. Far or near wherever any is once he or she partakes in the bread he or she becomes one with the universal fellowship. Have you not heard that a family that eats together stays together? The bread makes them a nuclear family where everybody is as important as the other that is why the pieces of bread is equal to show that we are all equal before our father Jesus who is the bread. The bread is always white as a symbol...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT15

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT15* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. They continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrines and in the breaking of bread as a matter of fact the breaking of bread was and is still part of the apostles doctrine and the reason for the steadfast continuation is that it is a command from Jesus. Another reason for their steadfastness in the breaking of bread is that the breaking of bread is meant to be a daily things. Yes you heard me. A daily thing. Jesus speaking to us said that "as often as we break this break" which means that we are to break the bread as often as possible. *And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me*." *Luke.22.19*  *For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's ...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT14

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT14* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Here we are told that their continuation was also to the breaking of bread. One of the doctrines of the apostles that the believers embraced was the breaking of bread which was a major command from Jesus so you can see that the apostles doctrine was all about Jesus. *And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me*." *Luke.22.19* These breads was broken in fellowship as a communion to proof their oneness and unbroken unity. It was a bond that bonded them together it is also a symbol of unity and community among believers. It was done in remembrance of Jesus death burial and resurrection which is a significant doctrine in the economy of salvation. It helps the believers to remember Jesus'...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT13

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT13* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Apart from continuing in the apostles doctrines and in fellowship they also continued in the breaking of bread and in prayers it tells me that this converts became part of every activity of the believer, they did not choose which one to participate in and the one not to participate in. No wonder they continued steadfastly because they embraced everything wholeheartedly and did not hide it but through their actions people could tell that this ones actually believed and continued steadfastly. From here we can see why they continued in the apostles doctrine, they gave in to everything that the apostles believed and taught and i believed that they saw the light in it and followed steadfastly. Unlike many of us today that choose what to believe and what to practice even how to practice it and if one da...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT12

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT12* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. They continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrines and fellowship meaning that their fellowshipping was not once in a while thing but a thing that is constat. Something that they were doing in and out of season. You will agree with me that one thing that marks consistency is commitment, what you are not committed to you cannot be consistent in and one of the ways to be committed to fellowship apart from attendance at all times is active participation in the fellowship. Many go to fellowship to fulfill all righteousness but few go to make it work, they participate actively in the fellowship activities and be part of the making of the activities like being in various departments to make sure that things work. Fellowship is not once in a while thing but one that one has to be consistent in and comm...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT11

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT11* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Having seen what a doctrine is and since their continuation was to doctrine and fellowship let us now take a look at what fellowship is since the two go hand in hand in the worship of God  A fellowship in this context speaks of a Christian community where people of same faith and common interest meet to worship God, to hear his word and to encourage one another as they grow in holiness and love for God and for one another. A fellowship is also a community where believers in the same faith come together to advance the cause of God and to promote his kingdom. One of the major interests of a fellowship is to populate the kingdom of God and depopulate the kingdom of darkness by all means necessary. A fellowship is a community of believers that are set to pursue one single purpose which is eternal lif...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT10

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT10* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Having seen that they continued in the apostles doctrines and in fellowship let us now see what a doctrine is so as to know why they continued therein because they must have come to the understanding that it is worth continuing in. A doctrine is a set of truth that has been tested and seen to be coming from Jesus Himself and seen to be in line with Jesus life, death and resurrection. It is not something dreamed of or based on personal interpretation as it forms the belief on which the faith of the faithful has to be based on. A doctrines can be said to be the official and authoritave eachings of the church whose principles and origin is from either divine revelation or from Jesus Himself which the church has accepted because it is mostly derived from the scriptures it is usually meant to guide the...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT9

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT9* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42*. Having continued steadfastly they continued in nothing else but in the apostles doctrines and fellowship but what of the word of the Lord? Why the apostles doctrine and not the doctrine of the Lord? Was the apostles glorifying themselves instead of God? The word "apostles doctrine" here refers to the whole truth of the scriptures, it is the teaching that guarantees salvation not some sort of enticing words that will make the people to be excited for a while and then become worse of hence the converts could continue steadfastly because they were edified. The apostles doctrine is Christ centered teaching that was handed over to the apostles by Christ Himself and there is no other person that would have done that better apart from those it was handed over to. The apostles doctrine was not ju...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT8

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT8* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42* . To say that they continued means that they have weighed were they were and compared it to where they were told to be and found out that where they have been introduced to is better than where they were and so they opted for the better. To say that they continued means having found a better place then they choose to make a commitment to remain where they have found to be better than where they were so they decided to pledge or bind yourself to it. They continued because because they voluntarily made a long term dedication of their lives to achieve it by daily exercise and doing all in their power to succeed and succeed well and not just succeeding but supporting the fellowship to achieve her heavenly mandate. Wait a minute, how come all of them "continued" and steadfastly? You can see the...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT7

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT7* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42* . Bro Peter told us that those that were baptised continued in the apostles doctrines and fellowship and you will agree with me that to continue in this line of life is not a joke, it requires efforts and resilience, it requires a mind made up to continue otherwise many things will discourage you from continuing. They faced the challenges that those that stopped faced but choose to continue because they realised that it can only take persistence to break resistance and so they choose to persist. They knew that even though the journey is far yet it is achievable  They continued because they knew that quitters never wins while winners never quits. It may be hard but achievable. They continued because it takes persistence to win the race. They continued because grace was sufficient, they choose to depe...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT6

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT6* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42* . We are still looking at why they continued and by the help of the Holy Spirit we have seen quite a few and we will continue to see more as the spirit of the Lord leads us and i pray that it will make somebody to continue steadfastly in the Lord by the power in the name of Jesus. Amen!!! And so they "continued" because of the love of God that was seen and embraced and the love that they now embraced motivated them to persevere in the face all adversities because it is always very difficult to abandon the one you love. They "continued" because they know that God is too faithful to fail as such they were so convinced that victory is sure. *Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those...

CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT5

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT5* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42* . To "continued" is not a sign of perfection but the pursuit of perfection. They understood that the only way to attain perfection is not to sit back and criticize what is good and what is bad hence they choose to continue to pursue perfection by all means and continued to do so. To "continued" does not in any way suggest that they didn't see any reason to go back or to give up on their faith but they choose to continue because they realized that the best things in life only happens to those that choose to persevere. They "continued" because going back was never an option, unthinkable and unimaginable for someone that intend s to win in the race of life, they knew that going back will amount to a waste of all the efforts that they have put up before giving up. They ...

*FAITH NUGGETS*  *CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT4* *And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*.  *Acts 2:42* . We are still looking at what bro Peter told us about the three thousand converts that held the word of God and "continued" therein, the continued is a sign of progressive upward movement without looking back. It is possible that they did not understand all that they were taught but they continued so as to know more and grow thereby, you can see their continuing was for their own good and to the glory of God and the good of the church. May the grace of our Lord and king Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit b...
