*CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT14*

*And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*. 
*Acts 2:42*.

Here we are told that their continuation was also to the breaking of bread. One of the doctrines of the apostles that the believers embraced was the breaking of bread which was a major command from Jesus so you can see that the apostles doctrine was all about Jesus.
*And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me*." *Luke.22.19*

These breads was broken in fellowship as a communion to proof their oneness and unbroken unity. It was a bond that bonded them together it is also a symbol of unity and community among believers.

It was done in remembrance of Jesus death burial and resurrection which is a significant doctrine in the economy of salvation. It helps the believers to remember Jesus' sacrifice and the new covenant which is rooted in Jesus blood.

It is also a means of spiritual nourishment in the journey of salvation and as it represents Jesus as the "bread of life". The food of the soul and nourishment for our salvation. It is a way of taking part in Jesus here so that we can be part of Him in heaven.

It is a sign that Jesus is for all as whenever the bread is broken it is always shared round Jesus is broken so that He can be taken to everybody It is a means of transformation for the believer who gets transformed from the person that he or she uses to be to the person that he or she is transformed into which is the image and likeness of Jesus.

I pray for you and with you that anytime you participate in the breaking of bread that your life will never remain the same again by the power in the name of Jesus.
