*CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT4*

*And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*. 
*Acts 2:42* .

We are still looking at what bro Peter told us about the three thousand converts that held the word of God and "continued" therein, the continued is a sign of progressive upward movement without looking back.

It is possible that they did not understand all that they were taught but they continued so as to know more and grow thereby, you can see their continuing was for their own good and to the glory of God and the good of the church.

They continued means that there were some that people taught will not go far. Do you know that they were some that people gave up on as far as salvation is concerned yet they continued and probably beat the expectations of their critics.

They continued to carry on even when at times they fell, they refused to allow their fall define them but looked up to the mercy of God and making efforts to make sure that they don't fall again. I mean avoiding all the things that would have made them to fall.
*Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me*. *Micah 7:8*.
*For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity*. *Prov 24:7*.

The continued because grace was available to make sure that they don't end up a disgrace. They continued trying to make sure that the grace of God in their lives was not a waste and they continued knowing full well that the grace of God will see them through not their efforts.

I pray for you that where the enemies are waiting for you to destroy you legally that the mercy of God will speak for you and your escape will be guaranteed by the power in the name of Jesus.
