*MANNA FOR THE WEEK* The bible told us about two men that went to church to pray, one a pharisee and the other a tax collector. Lk 18:9-14. The pharisee went up to God to tell God that He was owning him because he pays his tithes, fast, gives fat offerings and he also told God how he makes efforts to see that he live a righteous life. Though it seemed that he was trying his best but all that he was doing was out of obeying religious laws not out of love for God. While the tax collector knowing full well that he was a sinner out of reverence for God went to God to acknowledge his sins and openness to change and live right. While the pharisee was busy accusing the tax collector of not been worthy of God's blessings, the tax collector was busy making his ways right with God and at the end of the story Jesus told us that the tax collector went home blessed while the self righteous pharisee went home empty handed.
