*CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE LORD PT18*

*And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers*. 
*Acts 2:42*.

Apart from the apostles doctrines, fellowship and the breaking of bread the other thing that they continued in steadfastly was prayer. So you notice that this people from all indications whole heartedly followed all that the apostles taught and did?

Many people see prayer in different ways, but we are going to look at it from the angle of what we are teaching. These people followed the apostles in prayer meaning that they saw something that prayer does and decided to follow.

The apostles themselves at a time went to Jesus to request that he teaches them how to pray and they tried to let Him know that John had taught his disciples how to pray already so they requested Him to teach them so that they too can pray.

They saw prayer to be so important in their Christian calling that they decided to even if it means learning it to do so just to know how to do it and to do it right. To them prayer was not one of those things like many of us see it today but something that must be done steadfastly and continually.

This believers here saw prayer not just something that must be done but a communication between a father and His children, the saw prayer as a means of having a mutual understanding and establishing a relationship with the father, the see it as a means of establishing intimacy with a loving father. They saw it as a way of reciprocating the love shown to them by a loving Father.

I pray for you and with you that the God of heaven will visit you this season to establish joy and peace in your life and family by the power in the name of Jesus.
