FEAR NOT PT3

*FAITH NUGGET* *FEAR NOT PT3* Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. Math 2:16. Do you think that the blessings of others will make God not to bless you? Herod has been a king he never contested for, not elected but born to be and now hearing that another wants to be a king he decided to fight him because as far as he was concern the kingship should for himself alone and his family no other famithas right to any throne whether in his domain or not. The one thing that never came to his mind was that the one that made him king has the power to make another king without his permission and knowledge and so he decided to fight a fight that he will never win. Who is it that is fighting you because of the blessings of God in your life? Who has vowed ...

FEAR NOT PT2

*FAITH NUGGET* *FEAR NOT PT2* *Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren*.  *Lk 1:36*. We started looking at some of the evil seeds that the enemy the devil are sowing into our lives as we are about to cross over to our glorious year 2024 just to cast fear into our lives but thanks be to God who have given us victories in Christ Jesus our Lord.. Amen. Our opening scripture says that Elizabeth was given the name Elizabeth by her parents but the people choose to call her barren not minding that the bible said that "none shall be barren in the land" I don't know the name that 2023 has given to you or made people to give to you but hear me child of God. It is only God that has the final say in your life and let me tell you also that until the Lord speaks that every other speaker are just nothing but noise makers. When God showed up for madam Elizabeth it didn't matter what peo...

FEAR NOT

*FAITH NUGGET* *FEAR NOT* *And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn*.  *LK 2:7*. The year 2023 seem to be a difficult year and as such many of us may be nursing the fear of how next year will look like or be but hear me child of God i may not know what the future holds for you but i know who holds the future and His name is God and the good news is that the future that He holds for you is for good and not of evil and to give you your expected end. Amen!!! Can you imagine that Mary was pregnant as not just a small girl but a girl that knows nothing about child birth and then came a decree to take her away from her parents, aunties and all that would have helped her in giving birth. And as if that was not enough the bible recorded that when they got to the place she went into labour and friends and relatives refused to provide a place for her to put to bed and as if that was not e...

WHAT HAVE YOU RECEIVED? CHRIST OR CRISIS?

*FAITH NUGGET* *WHAT HAVE YOU RECEIVED? CHRIST OR CRISIS?* *But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy*.  *Lk 1:43-44*. Once and again i count it all joy and privilege to come your way as we celebrate Christ the reason for the season. It is my prayer that this season will birth God's goodness and blessings in Jesus name Amen. It takes the knowledge of knowing what you have to be able to appreciate it. Elizabeth had not seen Jesus, infact she had not seen Mary over a period of time but on that fateful day as the sound of the greeting of Mary made her to recognise what she carried and she celebrated it with her whole heart. The response of Elizabeth is such that will keep one meditating on the opportunities that we are wasting on daily bases "But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" See how she celebr...

ARE YOU PREPARED PT3

*FAITH NUGGET* *ARE YOU PREPARED PT3* *Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth*.   *LK 1:39-40*. Yesterday we saw how Mary was full of grace and as such she was able to carry Jesus in her womb for none months and afterwards delivered her for that salvation of all mankind. Today we are seeing how in the course of her preparation she reached out to her cousin Elizabeth with her time, talent and treasure. As part of your preparation have you made the list of those that you want to reach out to? You may not be able to hgive them everything but at least there is something that you have to give. There are some that needs words of encouragement, some need to know the reason for the season, some need to be guarded against making some irrational decisions just because they want to celebrate Christmas. What of those that needs just few cups of rice just to be part of the celebration? Mot...

ARE YOU PREPARED PT2

*FAITH NUGGET* *ARE YOU PREPARED PT2* *And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women*.  *Lk 1:28*. Yesterday we started looking at what it means to celebrate Christmas and not crazymas and we said that one of the criterias for preparing for Christmas is to be prepared by knowing what you are preparing for so today we will be looking at the life of Mary to see what it takes to be prepared. The bible said that an Angel appeared to her first of all greeted her with a royal greeting "hail" and he went ahead to deliver that message but first and foremost told her another thing "full of grace" I know that many will argue that grace is a free gift of God but before your argument let me put it to you that the angel did not say "God has given you grace" no but full of grace that is to say that she cooperated with the grace of God to the point that the grace became full in her life. Grace was giv...

ARE YOU PREPARED

*FAITH NUGGET* *ARE YOU PREPARED* *For unto us a child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace*.  *Is 9:6*. Having seen the life of sis Lydia let us proceed to see how we are getting set for the celebration of the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ. Anytime we get to this season many of us are always caught up with lots and lots of preparation not knowing what they are preparing for thereby preparing the wrong way. It is my opinion that you are either preparing for Christmas which is the birth of Jesus or you are preparing for crazymas which is following the crowd not knowing why or where they are going to or knowing the reason why the crowd are doing what they are doing. Many of us are preparing in buying new clothes, making preparation for what to eat and drink, friends to meet and how to travel long distance to celebrate with our loved ones but the...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT16*

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT16* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.   *Acts 16:14:15*. By the help and grace of God we have seen extensively the life of our sister Lydia whom the bible told us was not just a hearer but also a doer of the word of God. I believe that the life of sis Lydia is been presented to us so that we can learn from her qualities and try to live out the good qualities that we have seen in her. If you have missed any of the episodes i encourage us to go to our site to see all of them by clicking the website below and i promise you that you will be glad indeed. Sis Lydia was a woman of virtues with a very strong and convincing integrity coupled ...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT15

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT15* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. Yesterday we saw how sis Lydia begged that she should be given the opportunity of hosting the apostles. We are going to be looking at how she made the appeal having established that the appeal was born out of the fact that she was trying to create opportunities to worship God by all means. The Bible said that she made the appeal on this tune "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." can you see the tune? She placed her integrity on the line. Let me try to break it down. She was saying if you know by reason of your observations tha...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT14

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT14* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. We have been seeing the Acts of sis Lydia and how she made a commitment to worship the Lord to the point that even doubting Thomas could be convinced beyond reasonable doubt that she truly loved God. Today we will be seeing how she led every member of her family to God. She was so convinced in the faith that she found that she had to take the faith to every aspect of her family. Her faith did not just affect the way she live and her family life as a person but she ensured that the faith spread to everyone in her family. Apart from that she went ahead to make sure that all of th...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT13

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT13* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. Yesterday we saw how the work of sis Lydia did not prevent her from worshipping God like it usually did to many of us today. Today we want to look at another thing that would have stopped her but in all she prevailed. We were told that sis Lydia was a married woman and that she had children. Unlike many of the women of our day she worshipped God wholeheartedly even as a married woman. Marriages has become the reason why so many of our married couples are not worshipping God the way they should. All forms of excuses has been made in the place of worship all in the name of marria...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT12

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT12* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. Having seen how sis Lydia worshipped God with her time , talent and treasure we would proceed today to see what would have been am impediment to her in serving God and she overcame all of them. We were told that she was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira. Let me make it simple for all of us to understand. "She be woman wey dey go Onitsha go buy something to sell" hope this makes small sense? Just for us to understand the kind of trade she does. In our own case anything can deny us from loving God many of us will even claim that they did not come back that da...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT11

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT11* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. As long as God keep giving us revelations from the life of sis Lydia we will continue to look at it knowing full well that God meant it to bless our lives so may His name be praised both now and forever. We have been able to establish the fact that sis Lydia served or rather worshipped God with three things namely, time, talent and treasure and by the grace of God we have seen time and talent and today we will be looking at treasure. DISCLAIMER. I will like to state it clearly here that i am by no means soliciting for money by this write up please. It is just for your consumpti...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT10

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT10* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. We have been privileged by revelations to see the qualities of a virtuous, dedicated and valiant sister called Lydia. The study of the Acts of Lydia is a challenge to you and i that we too can have our Acts written in the book of the Acts of the apostles of our time and may it be so for us in Jesus name. Yesterday we looked at how to use our time to serve the Lord and today we will be looking at how to use our talent to serve the Lord. The true value of the talent cannot well be ascertained  and as such many tend to neglect it.  It is also necessary that we put it on record her...
*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT9* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. Isn't sis Lydia wonderful? Can you imagine the qualities that we are seeing in this hardworking and dedicated to the kingdom woman? I pray that this nuggets will birth many Lydias of our time in Jesus name Amen. Today we will continue to look at her qualities and we will be looking at what she used to serve God before we proceed to her other qualities. Seeing the way that she loved God one will have no doubt but to conclude that she loved God with her time, talent and treasure.  If there is anything that all of us have in common and in equal proportion it is called time. Wha...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT8

FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT8* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. As we continue to study the Acts of sis Lydia let us remind ourselves that we said that sis Lydia worshipped the Lord because she loved the Lord. We also said that the love was born out of knowledge of who the Lord is and we went further to say that there is no way she would have been able to do that without personally been convinced about the person of Jesus. Today we will be looking at what birthed her been convinced and it is called encounter. This is one area where many of us are lagging behind. This is one thing that many of us talk about but but don't go after it or pur...

O LORD DO WONDERS TO LIBERATE ME

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *O LORD DO WONDERS TO LIBERATE ME*. *So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go*. *Ex 3:20*. All thanks be to the one and only wise God for the privilege of seeing another beautiful week which he has made for us to be happy and glad. May His name be praised both now and forever. As we gradually come to the end of this year we are praying God to stretch out His hand over anything that supposed not to follow us to next year. Praying that He do wonders that will make us to be free from all of them in Jesus name we pray. May all that plague us attract God's attention for urgent elimination from our lives and families and may it please God to unleash His anger on all of them in Jesus name. May God take care of anything that will cut short our expectations for the Christmas and our triumphant and glorious entry into the new year in Jesus name. Whatever that God ...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT7

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT7* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken bF y Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.   *Acts 16:14:15*. We are still on the Acts of sis Lydia and we still have much to say about her and to learn from her. We too can become the sis Lydia of our time or even better sis Lydia of our time if we can learn some of her virtues and practice them. Yesterday we talked about her knowledge, she was so knowledgeable in the Lord through heeding of His word to the point that she became so convinced about the Lord. She was so convinced of the Lord beyond measure to the point that it made her to love the Lord the way she did. She was so convinced that she became grounded in her faith in the Lo...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT6

FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT6* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. We have seen how love led sis Lydia to worship God fantastically, no wonder St Augustine will say that love can make one to do anything and sis Lydia is a typical example of what love can do or how far one can go because of love. This love that we are talking about did not just fall from the air, something triggered it and today we will try to see some of the things that triggered that love expressed in worship. For me i strongly believe that this love is born out of knowledge of who God is and what He represents in her life. She worshipped the Lord fanatically because she knows ...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT5

FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT5* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. We have been seeing how sis Lydia moved from worship to love and today we will continue to see how much she loved God without reservation. She gave the love her all. Infact anything that will make her to love the Lord she considers achievable and possible. The funniest aspect of it is that, She was not loving the Lord for people to praise her. She was not loving the Lord to gain attention She was not loving the Lord for titles. Her loving the Lord was not contestable. Her loving the Lord was so glaring and attested to. She closed her ears to what people will say in loving the Lor...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT4

FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT4* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. We have seen how sis Lydia worshipped the Lord by by opening her heart to to heedbthe word of the Lord and today we will be looking at another reason why she worshipped the Lord which is love because i strongly believe that she wouldn't have worshipped the Lord that much without loving him. In our world today, to speak of love is to be suspected of an imminent crime that is about to be committed because the word love now is synonymous with crime in our day unlike in the days of Lydia were it meant much to be desired. For me the best way to describe the love that Lydia had for...

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT3* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. Yesterday we started looking at how sis Lydia made her way into the book of Acts of the apostles. How she dared to be different and in the cause of that she stood out amongst her contemporaries. Today we are going to continue from where we stopped yesterday. We were told that the reason why she headed the message of the apostles was that she was a worshipper of the Lord not the lords. What does it mean to be a worshipper of the Lord? To worship the lord is to adore; to pay divine honors to; to reverence with supreme respect and veneration. To worship is to go e God the highest r...

DARE TO STAND OUT PT2

*FAITH NUGGET* *DARE TO STAND OUT PT2* *Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.   *Acts 16:14:15*. The book of the Acts of the apostles is one book in the bible that was never concluded. It ended thus "preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him". It means that you and i have been given the opportunity to preach and teach about the kingdom without anyone forbidding us. The book of Acts of the apostles gave everybody the opportunity to act as an apostle to this end on Sunday we started looking at the Acts of sis Lydia and how she used her work to glorify the name of the Lord and ...

O LORD LIFT MY HEAD

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *O LORD LIFT MY HEAD*. *But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head*. *Ps 3:3*. All thanks be to the one and only wise God for the privilege of seeing another beautiful week which he has made for us to be happy and glad. May His name be praised both now and forever. I pray for you and with you that for the remaining part of this year that the God of heaven will shield you from whatever that will make you not to cross over to next year in good health of mind and body in Jesus name. You are shielded from whatever that will make you cry, from whatever that will make you cry "had I know", whatever that will make you to bend down in sorrow, whatever that will make people to tell you to take heart or sorry. May God shield you and menbers of your family from every accident, sickness, death and other evils in this season and beyond in the name of Jesus. Whatever that has bent your head down in sorrow and shame...

And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*. *Acts 16:14:15*. This is the continuation of our "making fellowship and prayer a habit" series. In that place of prayer many women were met meeting there but in all one was outstanding and had to be mentioned specifically, her name was Lydia. Amen!!! She did not bribe her way to be mentioned, she was not mentioned because she was the most beautiful, she was not mentioned because she was elected or that she was a prominent personality but because she choose to be outstanding. When you are standing with the crowd you will not see the cloud but when you work hard when others are standing you w...

MAKE PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP A HABIT PT8

*FAITH NUGGET* *MAKE PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP A HABIT PT8* *And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there. Acts 16:13*. I continue to admire the faith and the love for God that these people had. We have seen how they met, prayed and sat down to hear the word of God. These people's love for God made them to fellowship, meet and to make prayer a custom but am particularly interested in how they seek to know God more and more unlike our generation that are drifting away from God yet claim to be with God. In our generation we are busy looking for miracles here and there but not ready to have a relationship with the God of the miracle. This is how far we have deceived ourselves. These people were seeking God in His word as St Jerome will say that ignorance of the word of God is ignorance of God and for them to avoid being destroyed they went for the word of God as what kills the peop...

A MONTH OF BETTER THINGS

*LET US PRAY* (*PRAYER FOR THE MONTH*) *A MONTH OF BETTER THINGS* *The end of a thing is better than its beginning, The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit*.  *Ecc 7:8*. As I continue to thank God for you and with you for making it to this month i pray for you too that this month shall be a month of better things for you and your household in the name of Jesus. As the year comes to an end I see you and members of your family getting better in the name of Jesus. I see you and members of your family breaking forth on all sides on the name of Jesus. I see you and members of your family crossing over to 2024 in grand style in the name of Jesus. O see testimonies around you. You will not end this year in shame, not on the hospital, not in the police cell, not on the mortuary in the name of Jesus.
