*DARE TO STAND OUT PT3*

*Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.  
*Acts 16:14:15*.

Yesterday we started looking at how sis Lydia made her way into the book of Acts of the apostles. How she dared to be different and in the cause of that she stood out amongst her contemporaries. Today we are going to continue from where we stopped yesterday.

We were told that the reason why she headed the message of the apostles was that she was a worshipper of the Lord not the lords.

What does it mean to be a worshipper of the Lord? To worship the lord is to adore; to pay divine honors to; to reverence with supreme respect and veneration. To worship is to go e God the highest regard and place in your life.

The bible did not tell us that she worshipped the Lord because she was so rich as many people today think that those that worship God do so because God has blessed them.

She did not worship the lord because she has a title of an evangelist or a pastor or even a bishop.

She did not worship the Lord because it is on Sunday and as such since she is not going anywhere she can go to the church to while away her time.

She was not a worshipper because the place of meetings was close to her house or that the people loved her but because she loved God and knows that God loved her first.

She was not a worshipper because others are worshipping but because she made up her mind to do so and not just to do it but to do it with all her might, with determination and doggedness and commitment with purity and sincerity of purpose, with mind made pure and with excellent spirit and determination not just to do it well but to succeed as well.

Do you worship the Lord or the lord? Your worship is born out of what? Do you have love for the word of the Lord that you worship? Remember that our worship adds nothing to God but profits us into our own salvation.

I pray for you today that anyone or powers holding what belong to you will loose their peace and that God will use every system to fight for you until they release that which they have taken away from you through Christ our Lord Amen.
