*MAKE PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP A HABIT PT8*

*And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there. Acts 16:13*.

I continue to admire the faith and the love for God that these people had. We have seen how they met, prayed and sat down to hear the word of God.

These people's love for God made them to fellowship, meet and to make prayer a custom but am particularly interested in how they seek to know God more and more unlike our generation that are drifting away from God yet claim to be with God.

In our generation we are busy looking for miracles here and there but not ready to have a relationship with the God of the miracle. This is how far we have deceived ourselves.

These people were seeking God in His word as St Jerome will say that ignorance of the word of God is ignorance of God and for them to avoid being destroyed they went for the word of God as what kills the people of God is ignorance. 

*My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children*. *His 4:6*.

These people know that the word of God is God hence they sought to hear it by sitting down to download it well into their system. *Jn1:1*

These people were ready to seek the Lord while He may be found. They did not ask people to do that for them. They went for it themselves and sat down to enjoy it.
*Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near*. *Is 55:6*.  
And they did not assume to have known it all as it is practiced in our day.

These people were ready to know the mind of God through his word and i don't need a soothsayer to tell me that it is because they want to do the will of God that is why they sought it on His word and God uses his apostles to minister to them by leading them to where there were..

Have you ever sought the Lord like this people? What was your intention for doing so? How did you end it? Remember that you need the word to rule your world.

I pray for you that in this season that the God that changed the story of Jabez will visit you and change your story for good in Jesus name Amen.
