*DARE TO STAND OUT PT11*
*Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.
*Acts 16:14:15*.
As long as God keep giving us revelations from the life of sis Lydia we will continue to look at it knowing full well that God meant it to bless our lives so may His name be praised both now and forever.
We have been able to establish the fact that sis Lydia served or rather worshipped God with three things namely, time, talent and treasure and by the grace of God we have seen time and talent and today we will be looking at treasure.
DISCLAIMER. I will like to state it clearly here that i am by no means soliciting for money by this write up please. It is just for your consumption.
Every worship requires sacrifice and every sacrifice requires giving. There is no way you can worship without sacrifice and every sacrifice must be suitable for whom you are serving and it must be as occasion demand.
*And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh*. *Math 2:11*.
Sis Lydia did not just give to God but used her profession to serve her neighbours by making clothes for the widows and the less privileged in the society.
In some cases some people may not be able to give their resources maybe either they don't have or that they don't have enough or Thay have very little in that case many of them give their ability in any capacity it may be needed of them all to the glory of God.
Any giving that is not voluntary and is not freely and willingly giving is a waste hence St Paul advice us to give without grudging because God loves a cheerful giver.
*So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver*. *2Cor 9:7*.
Have you been giving? Were you forced to or you did it to glorify the name of the Lord? Do you know that even what you gave was given to you by God? When you gave did you fell that joy of the Lord inside you or you were angry after giving? Remember that you cannot be more generous than God.
I pray for you that the almighty God will remember all your offerings, And accept all your sacrifice and through it grant you all your heart's desire, And fulfill all your purpose in life in Jesus name Amen.
Good day beloved. Enjoy a blessed day filled with the glory of the Lord. Peace be with you.
To all of us celebrating anything today this is wishing you the best.
