*DARE TO STAND OUT PT6*

*Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us*.  
*Acts 16:14:15*.

We have seen how love led sis Lydia to worship God fantastically, no wonder St Augustine will say that love can make one to do anything and sis Lydia is a typical example of what love can do or how far one can go because of love.

This love that we are talking about did not just fall from the air, something triggered it and today we will try to see some of the things that triggered that love expressed in worship.

For me i strongly believe that this love is born out of knowledge of who God is and what He represents in her life. She worshipped the Lord fanatically because she knows the Lord. How did i know? The word of God made us to understand that she was a listener and a practitioner of of the word of God.

She heard the word, allowed the word to have reot in her and open up for the transformation that the word of God births and it gave rise to her worshipping and loving God.

Knowledge gives edge to anyone that has it in any capacity. What you know is what will distinguish you from others. Knowledge of the word of God is the knowledge of God Himself.

Another thing that made her to worship God the way she did was the very fact that she must have counted her blessings and discover that it was uncountable and that only God did it or can do it. She was only trying to reciprocate love for love.

One of the things that makes us not to worship God that way we should is that if most often look at what God has not done not minding what he has done. The truth of the matter is that if we actually take count of what God has done will never remember what He has not done but in most cases the reverse is the case.

How much do you value the word of God? How much do you long to hear the word of God, go for it and embrace it anytime any day? How hungry are you to know God more? Remember that the people of God are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

I pray for you and with you that in this remaining part of the year that you will not shed tears of sorrow but tears of joy because God will bless in every area of your life in Jesus name Amen.
