THEY WORSHIPPED HIM

*FAITH NUGGET* *THEY WORSHIPPED HIM* *Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen*.  *Lk 24:51-53*. From the second account of bro Luke's story of the ascension to Theophilus he told us that when Jesus has been taken that they had to assemble together in Jerusalem in the upper room where Jesus had instructed them to be. He also told us that Jesus told them not to move out of Jerusalem because the Holy Spirit will come and meet them there. Having told us where they gathered in obedience to Jesus's command he went further to tell us the persons that were there by mentioning their names because they have been chosen specifically to continue on the foundation that has already been laid by their master. Their names had to be mentioned so that if they fail they will be known and if they eventually...

Yesterday made it forty days that we celebrated the rising of Jesus from the dead and the bible made us to understand that He ascended to heaven after forty days of appearing to His disciples and teaching them about the kingdom so yesterday is the day of His ascension to heaven. Bro Luke have two accounts of the ascension in two of his writings and in the two he made mention of how Jesus ascended into heaven and told us what his disciples did after his ascension. In his account in Acts of the Apostles and Angel appeared to them after Jesus has been taken but in the his gospel he told us they went home rejoicing. After the ascension bro Luke told us that they returned to Jerusalem to worship Him and we...

WHILE WAITING

*FAITH NUGGET* *WHILE WAITING* *And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me*. *Acts 1:4*. There is a story line that brother Luke missed out in his story about Jesus relationship with His disciples after His resurrection. He told us that Jesus asked His disciples to wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit but did not tell us what they wii be doing while waiting. But he was quick enough to tell us that "having assembled together" on other words Jesus made sure that they have started meeting as a church before he left, probably He must have told them how to meet hence the bible told us that when Jesus had left and the Holy has come their meeting was always to share the word and to break bread. This breaking of bread and sharing of the word which probably Jesus must have thought them was being handed over to their followers as a way of m...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT30

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT30* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Before telling us how Jesus showed Himself to the disciples with infallible proves, bro Luke had already told us that Jesus was with them and was giving them commandments which means that amongst the many things that Jesus taught his disciples for the kingdom was the commandments because it takes keeping the commandments to be with Him in heaven. Though many of us see commandments as a punishment because it tells us what to do and what not to do and many of us most time disobey this commandments and so it makes us most times to be uncomfortable in hearing them but in reality a commandment is to guide us and not to punish us. In religion a commandment is to test our loyalty to our God because our submissiveness to God is a way of our telling our God ho...

O LORD DELIVER ME FROM HIDDEN ENEMIES

*LET US PRAY* *O LORD DELIVER ME FROM HIDDEN ENEMIES* *Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep*. *Jonah 1:5*. What shall i say into the Lord, all we have to say is thank you Lord(2×), thank you Lord, thank you Lord all we have to say is thank you Lord. What else can we say other than thank you Lord because even if we were to give you an offering in accordance with your love and care for us the whole world will be an offering too small to thank you. Beloved i pray for you and with you that as you step into this new week that the God of glory will expose every Jonah that has been the reason why you are where you are not supposed to be and grace your life to be where you are supposed to be by the power in the name of Jesus. Anyone or powers or kingdoms that has been making sure that you constant...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT29

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT29* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Do you remember what the rich man said to father Abraham when he was in hell? Let us see it  *And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent*.'" it means that any one can be convinced about here and hereafter from anyone that comes from the dead. You can see one of the many reasons why the disciples choose to die for the gospel, they were convinced beyond reasonable doubt that their master does not just know the way to the kingdom but that He is the way according to Him. You know that the story of a resurrected man and a dying man is always the truth especially when the stories are from a love one and been told to loved ones. It is always a story from the dept of love. Just take a look at the sto...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT28

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT28* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* According to bro Luke Jesus taught his disciples so many things and you and i can imagine some of the things that He might have taught them especially since it has to do with the kingdom since that is what he came to establish. We can envision him teaching them on how to benefit from the finished work of the cross. He most have been teaching them on how to enter heaven irrespective of the circumstances one finds himself or herself Being men of little faith He must have taught them all they they need to pass through before they can enter the kingdom. He must have taught them that though salvation is free but that there are challenges that must come their way and that they must not allow the challenges to deter them from gaining victory.    He must have...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT27

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT27* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We saw that there was a task before the apostles and that task is for them to do greater things than their master Jesus did and as a matter of fact it was Jesus Himself that gave them that task but meanwhile many of them had ran away to only God knows where. Having ran away at a time that one can call a transition period or a handover period, to whom them will the baton be handed over to? Now that the Jesus that they have hoped on, believed in and worked for has seemly failed them how can they believe or trust another especially the Holy Spirit who is a spirit compared to the Jesus that they had touched, talked with and worked for and now seem to be mo more. The bible told us that after staying with Jesus for over three years that Jesus still had to c...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT26

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT26* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* For forty days Jesus was busy appearing and disappearing to and from His disciples and bro Luke told us that He was coming to tell them about the kingdom and you remember that anytime Jesus shows up in the midst of his disciples He will always leave His word(Himself) with them. Apart from words of encouragement and reconciliation that Jesus was sharing and leaving with his disciples he was also preparing them for His departure. He knew that he was going to leave them anytime from then but he will not leave them just like that and so He had to prepare them for that. There was going to be a transmission of assignment from Jesus to His disciples, Jesus was about handling the baton to those He had taught personally so that they can continue from where he ...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT25

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT25* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We saw that Jesus could not ascend because according to bro Luke He had a lot to tell the disciples and to remind them about what was prophecied about Him and what was written about Him and while he was still around showing himself to them with infallible proves it happens anytime they gather in two's or more in His name He will always come and be with them and use the opportunity to leave the word(Himself) with them. Apart from the fact that He needed to establish them so that they can always congregate in His name and power there were others things that he needed to put in place too. The two disciples that was making their way to Emmaus needed to be fetched and brought back to the fold. They needed to be made to understand that with God all thin...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT22

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT22* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We have seen that Jesus has nothing to proof to anyone but He had to show Himself alive to the disciples not just to make them know that he has risen but according to bro Luke He was coming to speak to them about the kingdom of God. Before Jesus left them He promised them that he will send the Holy Spirit to them but the Holy Spirit will not come until He has ascended to heaven but before he ascends into heaven He needed to do more so that when the Holy Spirit comes He will have to do the reminding and explaining certain things to them so that they will not fail. Before the Holy Spirit comes He needed to gather them together as a body because according to bro Paul the church is Christ body and he needs to nourish it with the word so before he ascends...

O LORD LOOK UPON ME WITH FAVOUR

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *O LORD LOOK UPON ME WITH FAVOUR*. *For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you*.  *Lev 26:9*. We continue to thank this good God that does wonders without number for us again and again without counting our worthiness or qualifications. May His name be praised and glorified both now and forever by the power in the name of Jesus. Beloved in this new week i pray for you and with you that the God that does wonders without number will visit you with His favour so that all the blessings that are meant for you that the enemies are accusing you of not been qualified for will be released to you by the power in the name of Jesus I pray for you that in any area of your life where you need fruitfulness, be it in the area of marriage, finance, or in your business that you received the anointing of fruitfulness for those areas and beyond by the power in the name of your. Today may you receive the bless...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT23

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT23* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Apart from the fact that Jesus showed Himself to the disciples to let them know that he had risen from the dead which bro Luke told us that He did with infallible proves there were other reasons for which He did so and we are going to be seeing one or two of them today. Praise the Lord!!! Apart from reaching out to them to show them that He rose with His body that death could do nothing to his body that even decay or corruption as it may be called could not destroy His body even when it was said to be dead the other major reason which made Him to show Himself to them is to tell them many things concerning the kingdom. How could He have died for us to make the kingdom yet nothing is done about that same kingdom? Can you see how passionate Jesus is to m...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT21

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT21* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* There is one thing that i want us to take note of in this story of the resurrection that bro Luke presented to us. Apart from the fact that he talked about infallible proof there is another statement that he made that i want us to take a look at today. He said that Jesus presented Himself alive to the disciples he did not present Himself as a ghost to them but alive which means that His life never ended but continuatinued even after death.. I mean to say that His life did not end in the grave. The grave could not swallow Him but He conquered even the grave.  Our God is the God of the living and the dead, dead does not separate us from God so if death cannot separate us from God it follows that our God is with us always everywhere and every place and n...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT19

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT19* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* So many people spoke about the resurrection from the prophets to Jesus Himself and looking at all that was said about the resurrection it shows that the integrity of God is on the line or the integrity of God would have been in doubt had Jesus not risen from the dead. So the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is a proof that God always means what He says and only. says what He means. Having integrity is not about boasting of what you have done or what you cannot do it is all about what you know you can do and you going ahead to do even much more than that. Integrity speaks of the totality of your character marching your words and actions. Integrity speaks of the entire, unimpaired state of anything, particularly of the mind; moral soundness or purity...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT20

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT20* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We have been looking at the resurrection and we have seen the uniqueness of Christian religion because of the power of the resurrection not that we are out to mock the other religions but to being them to the knowledge of the truth so that they too can embrace this light that we are privileged to see and know. The resurrection gives meaning and beauty to our Christian faith as St Paul will say that "if Christ had not risen then our faith is in vain" you can see that the foundation of our faith is in the resurrection. Do you remember those that tried to kill the message of the resurrection? They were after our faith. The resurrection tells us that we will not end in the grave, yes you heard me, we will never end in the grave rather we will en...

*Acts 1:3* Let me quickly draw our attention to this because it is a common occurrence everywhere so that we will not liken the resurrection of Jesus to it, I mean the issue of seeing a ghost which is a common occurrence because some of us may think that it is normal to see a ghost and Jesus could probably be one of such incidences. Jesus appeared to his disciples that where running to Emmaus and entered the house with them and when they presented bread he gave thanks and handed it over to them and disappeared because that bread automatically becomes his body and he cannot duplicate Himself so he left Himself with them in the bread meaning that he rose with his body intact. *Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and b...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT18

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT18* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Have you ever wondered why the prominent people of Jesus's time paid so much and volunteered to take the risk of defending a Roman soldier that they told to claim to be sleeping and to claim that the disciples of Jesus came to steal the body of Jesus from the grave just to discredit the saying of Jesus that he will rise on the third day? If the resurrection means nothing why that payment and that risk? Can you imagine a Roman soldier sleeping on duty? The story of the resurrection is one that have come to challenge their believe system and their idea of the personality of God and the religious people of Jesus's time does not want anything to disturb their religion because they and their families were benefitting from such believe system. Jesus...

O LORD LEAD ME

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *O LORD LEAD ME*. *For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes*." *Rev 7:17*. *This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it*. *Ps 118:24*. Unto the Lord be the glory for all that he has done and many more that He will continue to do for us and our families especially for making us to see not just another beautiful day but week and so we return all the glory to Him both now and forever. Beloved i pray for you and with you that the Lord that is with you and within and for you will arise for your sake to make a way for you where there is no way and where the enemies of destiny has blocked your way and cause you to prosper in the way that He has made for you by the power in the name of Jesus. May He shepherd your life to places where opportunities of blessings abound, may He lead you to greener pastures. As ...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT17

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT17* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We almost lost the story of the resurrection because of some people that does not want it to be known because it will according to them make their people to know Jesus and go to Him and to have a personal relationship with Him which they are doing everything to make sure that it will never happen. The story of the resurrection is so real that those that witnessed it first hand handed the story to the wrong people that were doing everything in their power to stop but unfortunately for them the story cannot be stopped because it has come to point man to the reality and existence of a God that has all power and can make all things possible. Why do they try to stop the story you may ask and i will quickly tell you that it was basically because of their d...

*Acts 1:3* Why we are still looking at the power of the resurrection is because bro Luke tells us that he has infallible proves so because he calls it infallible proves so we decided to see how infallible the proves are and to be honest i believe that we have see enough to convince us and not to confuse us that indeed Christ rose from the dead and that the proves are indeed infallible. Alleluia. If indeed Christ rose from the dead it means that we are alleluia people that is, people of joy, people whose joy is from the source of joy Himself, Jesus Christ the resurrected Lord so we own no one no apology for been the people of joy because they too also has the opportunity to be part of this family of joy if and only if they allow their ignorance give way to wisdom...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT16

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT16* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Did you remember what Jesus said to Martha when his brother lazarus died? They were angry that they sent a message to him for over four days that their brother was dead and he refused to come even after refusing to come when he was also sent for when he was sick so Martha confronted Him and said to him "if you had been here my brother would not have died" and Jesus responded thus. *Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this*?" *Jn 11:25-26*. Did you notice that Jesus did not deny having the power to raise Lazarus from the dead or push it to another? Instead he said "I am the resurrecti...

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT15* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We are still in the spirit and the revelations is still coming concerning the power of the resurrection and as long as the Lord continues to be pleased to reveal them to us we will also in turn continue to thank Him for such a rare privilege and continue to receive them with thanksgiving. Amen!!! There is this statement that Jesus made before He was crucified and the statement seem to be the summation of His mission on earth and had he not risen from the dead how on earth would you and i been able to stand before the bible and say or read that to their hearing? Let us take a look at it. *Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me*. *JN 14:6*. Can you imagine bro Thomas asking Jesus abou...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT14

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT14* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Jesus had many reasons why He should show Himself to the disciples, apart from the fact that they were scandalised at seeing a man that they left everything and followed for over three years die like a nobody in the hand of the Jews Jesus gave them many promises of which His rising to life gives His disciples a guarantee that this promises will come to pass. *Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him*. *Jn 6:54-56*. How bad it would have been that Jesus that promised to raise us up on the last day is still in the grave. He wouldn't have been better than my ancestor...

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT13* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* St Luke told us that it was Jesus Himself that presented Himself to the disciples after He rose from the dead and one may begin to wonder why He needed to present Himself to the disciples after all He owns no one no explanation but hear me child of God "it takes only the result to cancel the insult. The death of Jesus on the cross was the devil's final blow on the work of salvation. The devil never thought that man can be redeemed considering the level of sin that man committed that made him to fall out of favour with God  It is no gainsaying that the devil must have tried everything it could to keep Jesus in the grave, the devil must have tried to keep Jesus down, I can imagine the gates of hell shut so tight that Jesus could not escape unt...

BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE

*LET US PRAY* *(PRAYER FOR THE WEEK)*. *BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE*. *Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number*. *Job 5:9* To God be the glory great things He has done so loved He the world that He have us His son, who yielded His life an atonement for sin and open the wide gate that all may go in. To Him that does wonders without number for us be glory and praise forever and ever. Beloved as i pray and thank God with you for the many marvelous things that God has done for you and your family i continue to pray this God that does marvelous things, unsearchable deeds that cannot be numbered to do for you and your family wonders that cannot be numbered by the power in the name of Jesus I pray that in this week and following that you will be tired of counting your blessings and should you want to ask God not to bless you again because of the many blessings that He has birthed already in your life permit to inform you that it is already too late because the Ange...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT12

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT12* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* When God created man, God breathed His kind of life into man and man became a living being. See what the bible said of man "man became a living being" not a dying being but the moment the serpent succeeded in stripping man of that life man became a dying being. When Jesus died the man in man died and for man to be a living being, the God in Jesus needs to conquer death so that man can have the god kind of life in him that is why Jesus had to conquer death once and for all so that man can now be a living being that he was created to be. *knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God...

HE IS RISEN INDEED PT11

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT11* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* We have seen that the resurrection from the dead is not for Jesus alone but for all of us save for the fact that in our own case we are not rising to show ourselves to the world but to eternal life where happiness, peace joy and total satisfaction knows no bounds. May we never miss it in Jesus name. Still speaking about the resurrection st Paul will tell us that if Jesus has not risen from the dead that our faith would have been in vain in other words the strength of our faith lies in the resurrection. Which means that the dead and resurrection of Jesus is our gain and it is for our own good. *For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have f...

*FAITH NUGGET* *HE IS RISEN INDEED PT9* *To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*. *Acts 1:3* Do you know that the story of the resurrection was and still so interesting that some people thought that it was just fake or that it was one of those things and they decided to do it their own way and they ended up fooling themselves. They didn't know that "if e didn't dey it didn't dey" it can never be faked because it is not taking sleeping pills but dying and rising from the dead. *Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: "Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be someb...
