*To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God*.

Have you ever wondered why the prominent people of Jesus's time paid so much and volunteered to take the risk of defending a Roman soldier that they told to claim to be sleeping and to claim that the disciples of Jesus came to steal the body of Jesus from the grave just to discredit the saying of Jesus that he will rise on the third day? If the resurrection means nothing why that payment and that risk?

Can you imagine a Roman soldier sleeping on duty? The story of the resurrection is one that have come to challenge their believe system and their idea of the personality of God and the religious people of Jesus's time does not want anything to disturb their religion because they and their families were benefitting from such believe system.

Jesus had come to make the Jewish people to know that God is for both the Jews and the gentiles but for the Jews it is an abomination for them to think that they can have anything in common with the gentiles and so to discredit Jesus and to make Him a fake Rabbi they decided to do all in their power to make it look like the story of the resurrection was a "stage managed event"

It was a story of total disappointment to those that believed that it is not possible for any man to rise from the dead no matter the status of such a one because it has never been seen or heard of that anybody has ever risen from the dead. For their unbelieve not to be exposed they had to do all in their power to make the story of the resurrection a fake one.

The story of the resurrection is to authenticate the teachings of Jesus and His manifesto that He had come to free the oppressed, to set prisoners free, to bind up the broken heart and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. This manifesto which is in variance with the religious ideas of the people are what they intend to fight by making the story of the resurrection look fake.

I pray for you and with you that anyone working hard to discredit you in the place of favour to never see the light of the day to bringing that plan to pass by the power in the name of Jesus.
