BE RECEPTIVE

*BE RECEPTIVE*.

*There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him*."
*John.3.1 -2*

How do you explain the fact that Mr Nicodemus a teacher of the law, a Rabbi yet came to Jesus not as a Rabbi now but as a student to learn from him, my dear that is not foolishness but readiness to know more and to have a better understanding of whatever that brought him to Jesus. It tells me that the man has what it takes to embrace a positive change in his life.

From our discussion so far you can see that Mr Nicodemus was a man that has a mind that is receptive and not just receptive but also teachable, and willing to consider truth without immediate defense or shutdown. Why other are looking for a way to destroy Jesus this one is looking for a way to build, build his faith, build his knowledge and build his relationship with God and man.

The sincerity of the man Mr Nicodemus made the spirit of God to guide him into seeking and finding the truth. They were many that examined the life of Jesus but he was the only one that came to verify because he choose to go deeper and not to stop where others stopped and not to base his belief on what others say but the truth.

Another thing that i saw about the man Mr Nicodemus is that he was a man that knows the truth as a Rabbi but he did not stop there, he still went to Jesus not to compromise the truth but to make sure that he was not conforming to this world but wanted to be transformed into what he heard about the person of Jesus and Jesus on His own part was open to talk with sinners, but He never changed truth to fit them.

Another thing that i think that made Mr Nicodemus to visit Jesus was that he was a man that wants correction, to me he was this kind of man that prefer open rebuke to vain praise and i believe that he was a man of daily examination of his life like Socrates will say that an unexamined life is not worth living. The man does not want to exist, he wants to live.
*Open rebuke is better Than love carefully concealed*. *Prov.27.5*.
