*HAPPY NEW YEAR*
*To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven*.
*Eccl.3.1*
The bible actually started by telling us about a begining but did not tell us about the beginner of the beginning because for anything to begin there must be a beginner. The beginner of the begining lives outside time and made everything in time that is why only the beginner is eternal while everything began has time.
Am saying this because many people are of the opinion that there is no need to celebrate new year that there is no difference between December 31 and January 1st, as much as they are entitled to their own opinion am also entitled to mine as well.
We don't celebrate new year because the day is different but we celebrate it because it offers us another opportunity to start afresh, it gives us the opportunity to evaluate how we have lived and how we are to start living. It offers us opportunities to make changes for the better wherever there is need.
Celebrating a new year rekindles our zeal to refire instead of retiring, it enables us to make changes when and where necessary and it gives up hope that all will be well especially by making us to have the faith that the past is over and that things can actually get better and it does get better to the glory of God.
A new year helps us to look at the areas we have made mistakes and helps us to plan to correct them and to do better. Socratic once said that "an unexamined life is not worth living" so a new year gives us the opportunity to examine our lives and plan to do things better. A new year gives us the opportunity to celebrate God that made it so.
Above all a new year gives us the opportunity to appreciate God for all that He has done for us for 365 days and the opportunity to hand over the rest into His hands knowing full well that we cannot do without God.
I thank God for you and with you for the gift of this year and i pray for you that this year will favour you by the power in the name of Jesus.
*On behalf of myself and family this is wishing you a prosperous new year*.
