*PROMISE MADE PROMISE KEPT PT6*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call*."
*Acts 2:38-39*.

Apart from prayers and possibly fasting to make sure that victory is achieved and this promise is successfully handed over to our children like Lois and Eunice did i still believe that there are many more ways they did it or it was done.

The bible made us to understand that we should teach our children the way that they should follow so that when they grow up they will not separate or depart from it. It takes a calculated and conscious effort to birth this consciousness to them.
*Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it*. *Prob 22:6*.

Unfortunately many of us are not ready to train up our children in the way that they should go because many of us lack the parental knowledge to do so and so many of us too in an attempt to be good parents spares the rod and allow the child to be spoit claiming that we love them so much as not to punish them.
*Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him*. *Prob 22:5*.

Apart from the rod of correction let us not quickly forget that the best way to teach our children virtues is by example. Yes you heard, I said "it is by example" because children learn more from observation because they believe so much in their parents they tend to copy everything they see you and i do in their presence.

Finally on this episode let us mind the company that they keep. If they keep good friends they will be good but if they keep bad friends from bad and broken homes the results will be corruption. Let us not forget that association brings assimilation and assimilation brings about acceleration. The kind of friends they keep will go a long way in determining how far they will go in life morally or otherwise.

I pray for you and with you that your children will not be the cause of pain to you and your family by the power in the name of Jesus.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again.
