*CUT TO THE HEART PT15*
*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.
The hearers of bro Peter was *cut to the heart" after hearing the sermon of bro Peter and to them it will not just end in only been "cut to the heart" and so to ensure that they went ahead to ask an all important question "what shall we do?"
The hearing of the word of God is very important but much more important is the doing of what the word of the Lord requires of you and i because it the "doing" that really tells how much word we have heard.
*For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was*. *James 1:23*.
What bro James is telling us is that when we hear the word and fail to do the needful that we leave the way we came but when we allow the word to find expression in our lives we are transformed from who we were to who God wants us to be.
They asked the question because they want to fully participate in the world of their own redemption. Most times believers focus more on redeeming others while they swim in the ocean of delusion.
This is the kind of question that everyone of us are supposed to be asking anytime and any day we hear the word of the Lord for us to key in into the work of salvation that the word of the Lord carries.
In our generation many believers are only interested in getting exited after hearing the word and not allowing the word to find expression in their lives because they fail to see that they need to do something concerning the word that they have heard which is allowing the word to find expression in their lives.
I pray for you and with you that the Lord will not allow us to glory in what we should be ashamed of by the power in the name of Jesus.
Good day beloved and do enjoy your day. Peace be with you.
To any of us celebrating anything today this is wishing you the best.
