*CUT TO THE HEART PT11*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.


Having heard from bro Peter they called them "men and brethren" so in addition to what we have seen already on why they called them "men and brethren* we can also say that it is as a result of the way that they saw them take responsibility as far as the word of the Lord is concerned.

They saw how they took responsibility to make sure that the word of the Lord is made known in every nook and crany of the society in simplicity and clarity coupled with their actions and words which were not contradicting each other.

Like St Augustine of Hippo would say "preach the gospel and where necessary use words" which means that actions speaks louder than words. Their actions and words were used to spread the word of the Lord.

They played their role well in the economy of salvation by making sure that they took the word of the Lord beyond tribes, language and territory. The passion with which they spoke the word was worth commending and the corrections which they may have possibly made in the body of Christ was also seen as a sign of maturity.

They defiled circumstances, threats to life and all their consequences, they demonstrated maturity and integrity by accepting both positive and negative outcomes of their choices of spreading the word of the Lord which helps build trust and fosters personal and spiritual growth. 

Their consistency and determination in making sure that the word of the Lord goes far and near which was a products of their actions was seen by the people which led them to conclude that these are men(matured in character) and not babies.

I pray for you and with you that any alter fighting you or any member of your family will catch fire right now by the power in the name of Jesus.
