*CUT TO THE HEART PT10*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.

We have seen that to be "cut to the heart" is a phrase or a statement often used in the bible to describe people who are deeply moved or convicted by the word of the Lord leading to repentance, faith building or spiritual transformation and ultimately a return to God.

It was when they were "cut to the heart" that they realised they were babies in the Lord before then. They realised that spiritual maturity has nothing to do with the number of years that one has been in church but the efforts put in place to know God personally.

Their been "cut to the heart" made them to call the apostles "men" what does it mean to be a man in accordance with the scriptures? To be a man according to Scripture is to be matured it was because they saw the maturity with which the word of the Lord was handle that made them call them "men" not boys or infants.

They saw that the way the scriptures was explained to them speaks of maturity on the part of those preaching the words to them. The simplicity and clarity in scripture, the way the scriptures was opened to them in such a way that serving God can be easy.

They saw that these men were vast in the knowledge of the word of God as they spoke the word from the dept of their understanding not mincing words but going straight to the point.

They saw that these men took time to grow in the Lord thereby reaching the state of maturity. They saw that this people did not just know what they knew but that they took time to study the word and allowed the word to have full expression in their lives.

I pray for you and with you that anyone raising alters of wickedness against you or any member of your family will have everything that they did backfire to them by the power in the name of Jesus.
