*FAITH NUGGET*

*GOD IS IN YOU PT24*

*And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being*. 
*Gen 2:7*.

We have been told by king David that we should delight in the word of God and meditate on it because it only then that we will get the blessing that accompanies hearing the word and so today we have decided to ask St James about what he said concerning the word.

*But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does*. *James 1:22-25*.

St James here is confirming what king David said and we have already said before that the blessings in the word is not in the hearing but in the doing and St James went ahead to tell us that hearing without doing what we heard amounts to deceiving ourselves.

And Jesus Himself will tell us to continue in the word and not just hearing and doing but we should continue in the word because he wants us to abound in that blessing that is in the word of God.
*Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed*. *John 8:31*

The need to hear and continue in the word is important as St James told us that it will amount to self deceit and Jesus will tell us to continue in it as continuity brings about conformity.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord that takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people will visit you with all you need to prosper in life in Jesus name.
