*SPIRITUAL CHECK UP PT8*

*Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them*. *Acts 16:6-10*.

Isn't it interesting that Paul a workaholics had to travel up and down to do good? He and Silas his colleague went throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, where, it should seem, the gospel was already planted, but whether by Paul's hand or no is not mentioned but what was worthy of mention was that he went about checking up on them.

Although he preached to many of them at first hence the acceptability and welcome that he always enjoy anytime he was among them and the palpable joy that he fells amongst them which spurs him to do more for them.

One thing that is worth mentioning here is the work of the judaizing teachers who had done a great deal of mischief to these churches in almost every place that they visited by teaching them heresies, drawing them away from the gospel of Christ and prejudicing them against Paul to which Paul had to make many corrections.

They were forbidden at this time to preach the gospel in Asia, maybe because they don't need it at that time or maybe they were other hands at work there or because the people were not yet prepared to receive it, as they were afterwards we will look into that later.

Did you notice anything? The Holy Spirit restrained the apostles from entering some places and approved some places for them to visit. We will look at why later but my interest here is that you have the privilege of hearing the word once and again and yet not value it. Yet there are others longing for it yet not able to get it. Is it abuse of privilege?

I pray for you today that you will never miss your opportunity of lifting and that you receive grace that will make you a celebrity now and always in Jesus name Amen.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again.
