Once and again we continue to thank God whose mercies and benevolence we continue to enjoy especially for bringing us to the first week and the beginning of the second half of the year may His name be praised both now and forever in Jesus name.. In this new week, new month and beginning of the second half of the year, my dearly beloved i pray for you and with you that you must have rest on all sides from every labour, any work and battles that refused to come to an end before now by the power in the name of Jesus. *LET US PRAY* (*CONGRATULATIONS*) *SEASON OF FAVOUR* *Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!*". *Lk 1:26-28*. As we return all the glory to the one and only God that does wonders for us without counting the cost i wholeheartedly wish to congratulate you as you have made it to not just the end of the month but the end of the first half of the year. Having explored the benefits of hearing, doing and meditating on the word of God and continuing in the word i strongly believe that we have actually learnt much from our fathers in faith and today we will be concluding on that and then move on. One more thing that i want us to look at today is what St Paul told us the other day. *So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified*. *Acts 20:23*. Here St Paul is telling you and i that the word of God is able to give us an inheritance. What is an inheritance? An inheritance is something bequeathed to one to enjoy by his parents. We have seen the opinions of many of our fathers in faith concerning why we should know and apply the word of God in all that we do and it is crystal clear that our lives will be better if we hear the word of God, apply it, meditate on it and ultimately continue in it. Today we want to see other benefits that are inherent in the word of God. King David told us that if we hear and meditate on the word of God that we will be like a tree planted by the river side and that we shall bear fruits in and out of season so our productivity lies in the amount of the word that we have. We have been told by king David that we should delight in the word of God and meditate on it because it only then that we will get the blessing that accompanies hearing the word and so today we have decided to ask St James about what he said concerning the word. *But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does*. *James 1:22-25*. Yesterday, king David told us to pride ourselves in obeying the law of the Lord and not to obey the law of the Lord as though we are being forced or coarsed to do so and he went ahead to tell us what we should expect or why we should pride ourselves in obeying the law of the Lord. *But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper*. *Ps 1:2-3*. King David told us that apart from obeying the law of the Lord and meditating on the law of the Lord that we should take delight in doing so because it is in the intention and delight in doing so that lies the blessings and he went ahead to mention the blessings...

The other day we talked to about who to take counsel from and we proceeded to see that there are also the kind of people that we should not be in their midst not to talk of taking counsel from them because taking counsel from them is tantamount to a curse. Our keeper that does not sleep nor slumbers has done it again by giving us yet another wonderful week to enjoy and so we say may his name be glorified both now and forever in Jesus name. Beloved i pray for you and with you that in this sixth month of the year as we are about to end the first half of the year that whatever that has been concluded about you or anything that they have concluded that can't or won't happen in your life or that cannot happen in your life may God use it to give you end of the first half gift by the power in the name of Jesus. We have said that whoever you give attention gives you direction. When you give the wicked your attention king David said that it amounts to a curse but that when you give the godly your attention it will amount to a blessing. We learnt yesterday that the spirit of God leading us also makes us the children of God apart from so many other things that king David told us and you will agree with me that the principal reason why God gave us his spirit is to make us His very own children hence He gave us His personal spirit.. St Paul went ahead to make us to know that apart from making us the children of God it also makes our spirit to be in agreement with the spirit of God(source). In other words at Paul is saying that we should not allow anything to disconnect our spirit from the spirit of God. Do you still remember that our spirit is from God Himself? So St Paul is telling us that it is the intention of God that our spirit stays connected to the spirit of God(source) so that it can achieve purpose according to the mind of God. ...

Many of us whenever we hear of the mercy of God we tend to look at the forgiving side of it only. Mercy is not all about forgiveness of sin but much more than that  Everything we are and everything that we have are all products of God's own mercy. Whenever we talk of the mercy of God we are talking about God qualifying us for what we are not qualified for. Congratulations dearly beloved and welcome to the last month of the first half the year, I join you and your family in thanking God for been so good to you and your family.
