*So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate*. 
*Gen.3.6* 

 We have been talking so much about the discussion between the woman and the serpent but it must be made clear here that the serpent did not give the woman the tree to eat neither did the serpent force the woman to eat of it, the serpent only presented the tree to the woman in such a way that the woman will desire the tree.

Let me start by saying that temptation is not a sin but the fall into temptation is what makes it a sin, ordinary temptation is just a suggestion to do what will make you disobey God or what you have vowed never to do and permit me to state it here that what the devil uses in tempting us are things that we usually around us.

There were other trees in the garden but Eve choose to stay around the tree that she was asked not to eat, my people will say that you don't use your teeth to share a meat that you forbid in other words whatever you forbid should not be very close to you but for Eve she choose to share a meat that she was warned not to eat with her teeth.

 This verse started by saying that "when the woman saw" in other words the woman has been seeing the tree before or let me put it in another way so that you know exactly what am trying to say. The woman has been admiring the tree but could not risk it that is why the moment the serpent told her that she will not die, because she was avoiding the tree before out of fear not of obedience to God she grabbed the opportunity since she has the serpent to blame.

 This is where christianity and other religions differ, christianity will teach you how to obey God with love while other religions will make you to obey their God through fear and threats to life. Other religions will force us to do certain things but God demands nothing from us but to act with love in everything.
