*Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil*." 
*Gen.3.4*.

Jesus knows the devil through and through hence He told us that the devil is not just a liar but the father of all lies which means that the only thing you can get from the devil is nothing but lies even the devil's best are all lies. May God deliver us from the lies of the devil in Jesus name.

Having told the devil that God said that anyone that eats of the fruit will die the devil told the woman that God is a liar that she will not surely die but that God was hiding something from her and that is that she will be like God.

First and foremost he lied to the woman that when she eat of the tree that her eyes will be open and Eve was not bold enough to tell him that her eyes were not closed and that she was not created blind. Eve was not blind but she admitted from the devil that she was blind meaning that he didn't know herself.

Secondly he lied to Eve that it is not only her eyes that will be opened but that she will be like God, the question is who was she like before? Because the last time i checked i saw that she was created in the image and likeness of God meaning that she was like God already.

And he even went ahead to tell her that he will now know good from evil and the question is if she didn't know good and evil how did she know that there are fruits to eat and the ones to avoid? Which one is knowing good and evil again?
