*IT TAKES HUMILITY TO SERVE GOD*

*Continue to be great*

*He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all*.
*Jn 3:30-31*.

This chapter seem to be the chapter of humility, we have been the simplicity and humility of Mr Nicodemus and now we are seeing Uncle John the Baptist still showing the highest form of humility, "Jesus must increase and i must decrease" since i was born this is the only place I have seen this kind of humility.

Imagine Mr Nicodemus laying down everything to come to Jesus in the night after all that he has acquired in life and here we have Uncle John the Baptist that baptised Jesus still wishing and praying and making a public statement about it that Jesus needs to be bigger and greater than himself.

Jesus told Mr Nicodemus that many of us reject the gift that God gave us because our deeds are evil, He stated that we aften refuse to come to the light because our deeds are evil and we refuse to come to the light(Jesus) because we don't want our deeds to be exposed.

Bro Paul told us that to show how much God loved us that God has to send his only begotten son to come and die for us even while we were still sinners even when it is very difficult to die for even a good man.

What am saying here sir is that it takes humility to accept the gift of God. Pride will never allow the proud to accept the gift but the humble will always drop their pride and accept the gift after all we don't even deserve the gift in the first place.
*But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.*" *Jas.4.6*
