*You are more than a conqueror*

*Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God*.
*John.3.5*

Jesus was called a Rabbi because he was a teacher and not just a teacher but one that came from God and so as a good teacher that He is, He taught both theoretical and practical by living it out and when He said that a man must be born again by water and Spirit he exemplified it by going through water Himself.

It was not necessary that Jesus should go through baptism but He told Uncle John to leave it that way because it was necessary not for his sake but for the sake of those following Him, He did it so that it will serve as an example for us to know how important it to be baptised and He did it to show us that it was so important in the economy of salvation.

Having done that, He went ahead to tell his followers that anyone that believes should be given the opportunity to pass through that same process and He did not stop at that rather he went ahead to give them the formula that is the way it must be done in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
*Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit*, *Matt.28.19*.

Something happened before Jesus gave them the command to baptise, first and foremost He waited to conquer the power of death which is the consequence of sin and having conquered death he went ahead to give His disciples the power to baptise.
*And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth*. *Matt.28.18*. 

Take a moment to look at what Jesus said as He was commissioning them to go and baptise and how important it is to be baptised and so He said to His people, "all authority" in order words the authority to baptise was not from Him alone but has that of the Father and the Holy Spirit but not by compulsion but after they have been taught to know what they are to receive and have to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord.
*Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen*. *Matt:28.20*.
*For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation*. *Rom.10.10*.
