We have looked at how much God loved you and i and we have said that there is no condition that is attached to that love and that it is simply in the nature of God to love and that had it not be in the nature of God to love that there is no way man would have been able to merit or be qualified for that kind of love.

We have been made to understand that the moment God finished showing man how much He loved him He went ahead to tell man what he must do to embrace this love. You and i know that until a gift is received that the intention of the giver will not be satisfied but once it is received it brings to perfection the intention of the giver.

One thing is to give a gift and the other is to accept the gift, the refusal to accept the gift is not the fault of the giver but mostly pride and arrogance on the part of the recipient and sometimes the self condemnation of the receiver whenever the receiver judges himself of not being worthy of the gift.

From what Jesus was telling Mr Nicodemus and by extension you and i the gift is for everybody but the reception is not for all, it is for "whosoever" meaning that you will not be forced to accept the gift and nobody is going to accept it on your behalf and it will not be given to you compulsorily, you must accept it personally and willingly.

It is said that the God that created you without your consent will not save you without your cooperation. The gift is a person and the reception is personal and how to receive the gift is to believe in the gift that God gave and what is the gift that we need to receive? It is God's only begotten son Jesus Christ. Have you accepted the gift(Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour)?

I pray for you and with you that you will never meet or ever receive a gift that will cause you harm by the power in the name of Jesus.
