*YOUR BACKGROUND CANNOT KEEP YOUR BACK ON THE GROUND*.

*There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him*." 
*John.3.1 -2*

I strongly believe that there is a very good reason why bro John choose to introduce Mr Nicodemus to us and not just introducing him but telling us much about him and his background and i believe that one of which is to let you and i know that our background cannot keep our backs on the ground.

Having started looking at the introduction given to us by bro John today we will continue to explore more about Mr Nicodemus background. We were told that Mr Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jewish people but he did not allow his prestigious position to stop him from seeking salvation.

Mr Nicodemus was a ruler but he still recognizes that there is a ruler of rulers whose authority and power goes beyond that of human, he saw something in this man called Jesus and decided to investigate him and found out that he was not an ordinary man like every other man

I believe that one of the things that Mr Nicodemus found out in the course of his investigation was that truth and light must be pursued at all times and at all cost irrespective of background, position or fame, truth must be made a priority and ultimately our goal 

To pursue truth which is Jesus does not in anyway mean cowardice or the neglect of culture or traditions but the pursuit of freedom as only the truth sets one free, it means to open up for transformation and renewal and a desire to accept good changes whenever the need arises.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord will cause every power that fought you in the first half of the year to be conquered by you in this second half of the year by the power in the name of Jesus.
