*And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together*, 
Lk 24:32-33.

We have decided to take a look at what happened to bro Cleopas and his friend when Jesus met them on the way and talked with them according to their testimony, let us hear them again “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

Today we are going to be looking at what they meant when the said " did our hearts not burn within us" what does it mean for hearts to burn especially when the word of the Lord is head or preached?

One of the things that our hearts does whenever we hear or we are hearing the word of God is about conviction of our sins, yes you heard me right, the word of the Lord always points out the sins in us to us so that we can repent of them the word of God does not condemn us or make run away from God whose mercy knows no bound.

Another thing among the many things that the word of the Lord does to us is to point out the light to us, this light leads us to the truth and you and i know that we need this truth to be set free and you and i knows that we are the light of the world so the word of God makes us to shine brighter in the midst of darkness.

This light that the word of the Lord births in our lives helps us to clear all the doubt that we have about God and this light also leads us to God and to Jesus who is the light of lights, this light also clears every confusion and convince us about the goodness of God to us and all around us.

I pray for you and with you that the sun will never smite you by day nor the moon by night by the power in the name of Jesus.
