*THEY WERE ASTOUNDED*

*Be filled with joy and gladness*

*Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see*.”
*Lk 24:22-24*.

My people will say that when you see a rabbit in the afternoon that two things are always involved, it is either it is pursuing something or something is pursuing it, in the case of bro Cleopas and his friend, they were not pursuing something but something was pursuing them.

Today we want to look at what bro Cleopas told us was the reason why he choose to run away with his friend, " certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us" according to bro Cleopas they were astounded and decided to run away 

We have often said that the devil is not powerful as we claim he is but we cannot deny the fact that he is very crafty. When a man or woman is said to be shocked in medical terms it requires am emergency, yes every shock is an emergency case but when it is not a medical condition one of the things that happens to you immediately is that you loose your sense of reasoning 

Because they were shocked they did not have the mental capacity to reason again that what did not kill them for the past three days will not kill them now, because they were shocked they did not reason that it was men like them that went to the tomb to confirm not ghost and because of shock they did not remember that if women can go there that there is no reason why men should be the ones running away.

Because they were shocked they were taken off balance and because they were taken off balance they could not reason well again at that particular point in time and as such they had to act impulsively and that is exactly what the devil wanted and that is one of the ways he tries to push us into most of the errors in our lives.

I pray for you and with you that whatever you have been believing God for, trusting God for and praying for be delivered into your hands today by the power in the name of Jesus.

*COUNSEL*. Don't ever give up on your *faith* and never loose *hope* and be fervent in *prayers* and praise knowing that *God*, your father *loves* you specially and personally and will never leave you nor forsake you.
