*STOP CONTRACTING YOURSELF*

*Divine speed is on your side*

*Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see*.”
*Lk 24:22-24*.

It is said that a life of sacrifice without sacrifice is a contradiction, can you imagine that these men were following Jesus without any attempt to make any form of sacrifice for Him, all that they were interested in was the redemption of Israel and as long as Jesus was multiplying bread and dish for them they were good to go.

I sincerely agree with them that Jesus was to redeem Israel but my question to bro Cleopas and his friend is, having known that Jesus was to redeem Israel what role or roles were you prepared to play in that work of redemption? Because your running away shows that you were not just ready to do anything but to only benefit from that work. "Monkey dey work baboon dey chop"

When Jesus was arrested and eventually killed none of them were anywhere to be found, they ran as fast as their legs could carry them, none stood by Him, none even waved at him from afar to avoid people noticing and none even passed where he was crucified at least for Jesus to see him and have a little hope.

And be because they were not ready to make any form of sacrifice for Him that is why they ran at the sound of good news, they stayed in Jerusalem for three days without working and they were not lacking food and so as long as they were comfortable they had no problem staying with others.

One of the things that showed me that they were not ready to make any sacrifice for Jesus is that they all saw Jesus sacrificing all, He give His all including his life to show us that his life is a life of sacrifice and He even went as far as telling them to do what he did but none of them was ready for that.

This story is not different from what we see in our churches today where telling people to participate actively in the churches activities seem to be like a curse on them, for them coming to church is enough. Many believe in Jesus but will renounce him at the slightest provocation.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord will open the doors and the windows of heaven and pour you a blessing that you cannot contain by the power in the name of Jesus.
