*Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see*.”

I hate this idea of bro Cleopas generalizing everything all the time. Who told bro Cleopas that they were all astounded? He should have said i was astounded because even when he was using "us" he was the only person that ran away with his friend, yes himself and his friend can be "us" but the way this "us" sounded here sounded like they were many that ran away.

One of the problems of man is his inability to identify his problem and to know where his problems are coming from and the worst is when you deceive yourself that is a general problem. This is where faith defies gender, you can be a man and be faithless and still be a woman and be faithful.

How can women bring a report and the women were busy spreading the news and you that refuse to verify the report decided to say that "us" were astounded and then choose to run away. The news made you astounded and the women that brought the news were still on ground.

They said that the women of their company came with good news that Jesus has risen and their reaction to that message was "shock" they could not believe it, it sounded too good to be true, it sounded impossible to say that a man that died for three days is now alive, did you remember how he died? How can he rise when he could not save Himself from the cross.

Because they could not take it they were astounded and they have to run away because as far as they were concerned this women were up to something else. While others were going to the grave to confirm what the women said this ones were so astounded that they had to run away.

I pray for you and with you that anyone giving evil counsel against your life, marriage, business/carrier that the good Lord will turn their counsel to foolishness by the power in the name of Jesus.
