*A GODLY MISTAKE*

Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
Lk 24:28-29.

Let me start by saying that no matter how far one has gone from Jesus that the hands of Jesus are long enough to bring the person back to Himself and that the mercy of God is inexhaustible that it can forgive any kind of sin no matter how bad it is or how people or society sees it. The mercy of God made these men to make such a godly mistake that saw them return to grace.

These men were so fearful that they had to run away even in the evening and they were so fearful not to go further but something striking happaned as they were making the journey, a stranger joined them and starting talking to them to the point that they had to offer him accomodations without knowing Him or afraid to welcome a stranger 

What did Jesus tell them that made them to make Him their friend all of a sudden and even went ahead to give him accomodation? How come that they were no longer afraid to the point of harbouring a stranger 

They told Jesus not to go further because they were afraid that it was getting late, don't forget that it was fear that lead them this far, that same fear made them to welcome a stranger. God can use anything as a raw material to do what He wants, he can also use this message to bless you not minding the author 

God used their weakness to birth their salvation or return to grace because they allowed Jesus into their lives, have you accepted Jesus into your space? Have you surrendered your weakness to him or you are allowing your weakness ro push you away from Jesus.

I pray for you and with you that anyone going from place to place to bring you down will go down for you by the power in the name of Jesus
