*DO YOU KNOW JESUS? PT14*

*Thank God is is Sunday filled with hope may our hope never disappoint us*

*He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God*.
*Jn 1:10-13*.

Having told ourselves the truth that we don't know God either at all or not as much as we ought to know Him and having somebody like St Paul praying to know God more even when he was doing great for the kingdom we came to know that knowing God is a continuous program and today we will try to see how we can know God more.

Having talked about how we can know God before now we want to explain it the more today for better understanding and action. We can know God through the following ways 1 By revelation 2 By the word of God (reading the Bible) 3 Meditation 4 Experience.

*THROUGH REVELATION* 
God can choose to reveal Himself to you the way he did to bro Paul on his way to Damascus.
*But as I was on my journey and approached Damascus, about noon a great blaze of light flashed suddenly from heaven and shone about me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me [harass and trouble and molest Me]*? *Acts.22.6 - 7*.

*BY THE WORD*
A famous scholar of the scripture once said and i quote "Ignorance of the Scripture is ignorance of Christ," St. Jerome was basing his conviction on the fact that the word of God is God so to know the word is to know God and we were also told that the prophet Daniel understood by the books.
*In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem*. *Dan.9.2*.

*MEDITATION*
By meditation we mean the detachment from all forms of distraction and focusing on things that will help one to build a healthy and quality relationship with God. It means prioritising all that concerns God and given God the first place in your life. It is all about focusing the mind on things that will make one to know and understand God more.

*EXPERIENCE* 
There are certain things that God allows us to go through in life so that we can use them to counsel those who are passing through such in life and there are things that God allows for us to know how close and how loving He is to us when He delivers us from them. And there others too that He allows us to go through in life so as to know that if God can save us from river Niger that river "basin" or river "bucket" will be a walk over.
*This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps*. *1Pet.2.21* 

*LET US PRAY* 🙏🙏🙏
I pray for you and with you that God will will oppress your oppressors and contend with them that contend with you by the power in the name of Jesus.

It is a beautiful weekend for you do enjoy it. Peace be with you.

*COUNSEL*. Don't ever give up on your *faith* and never loose *hope* and be fervent in *prayers* and praise knowing that *God*, your father *loves* you specially and personally and will never leave you nor forsake you.
