**JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF LIFE PT3*

*In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it*. *John.1.4-5*.


We will start today by going back a little to Genesis 1:2 when after creation darkness came to disrupt what God was doing and God had to call forth light to dispel the darkness also here we see that all things were created through Him and also from Him comes the light of men.

He was and still is the light and not just the light but this light was the light of men what does that tell you. He didn't say the light for men or the light with men but the light of men which simply means that He is a "can't do without" kind of light.

This light does not speak of just illumination but of some kind of light that impacts positively in the life of men, it is a kind of light that deeply impacts the human spirit and condition. It speaks of the impact of the coming of Jesus in the economy of man's salvation.

This light of men speaks of Hope, this "light" is synonymous with life, hope, and salvation. So, "the light of men" would be the very essence that sustains, guides, and gives meaning to human life. It is not a light to show us the way but a light in us to make us judge wisely the way to follow so that our following will not be by compulsion but as informed people as people endowed with freedom of choice..

This light is a kind of light that brings us Enlightenment and understanding: It also means the knowledge or insight that brings clarity to human existence, lifting people out of ignorance to sin or darkness of sin but clarity on the mission of Christ and the willingness to follow out of conviction and not confusion.

*LET US PRAY* 🙏🙏🙏
Beloved, i pray for you and with you that the light of Christ will destroy all the darkness of sin and ignorance in obeying our Lord and master so as to enjoy the glory of being called the children of God by the power in the name of Jesus.
