*REPENT AND BE BAPTISED PT8*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit*.
*Acts 2:38*.


There is a reason why baptism should be done in the name of Jesus, Jesus did not come to reign on earth or to impress humanity but has a mission to fulfill and that mission is to save man from sin by dying in the place of man that was supposed to die because of their sins.

Therefore having told us about how baptism should be made(in the name of the Lord) bro Peter went ahead to tell them(us) the reason why they need to be baptised and so he told them(us)that the it was for the "remission"of their(our) sins.

Bro Peter calls what baptism does as "remission of sin" Remission of sin goes far beyond forgiveness of sin, remission of sin simply refers to the release or pardon from the guilt and penalty that sin brings.

Remission of sin means the gracious act by which God makes a wrong doer not to be held accountable for his or her wrong doing anymore because it has been covered or canceled or done away with totally.

Remission of sin is commonly mistaken to be "forgiveness of sin." most times which is not true. Remission of sin indicates not merely a temporary reprieve but a profound freedom from the debt of sin.

I pray for you and with you that any Jonah assigned to make sure that you loose your blessings will never meet you or be connected to you by the power in the name of Jesus.
