*REPENT AND BE BAPTISED PT14*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit*.
*Acts 2:38*.

We have tried to look at the giving nature of God so as not to entertain any doubt especially when bro Peter says that God will give you the Holy Spirit so as to know the possibility of that claim because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God is a giver by nature and he can give above all that we can ever think of or imagine.

Whenever we talk about gift we are talking about something that we never labour for, work for, something that we need not to work out hearts out to get but something that comes to us most times on a platter of gold.

When we talk about gift we are talking about something that we did not buy or pay for, something that sometimes we are not even qualified for if not for the mercy and the benevolence of the giver.

Whenever we talk about gift we are actually talking about something that was given to you and i freely without asking for anything in return. Something that most times we may not be able to buy or work for.

And most time when we talk of gifts we are talking of sometimes that you and i don't deserve or qualify for. Something that most times we don't have the capacity to give to ourselves but somehow somewhere somebody did it for us either God Himself or a God send.

When it comes to God and giving, God is always in the business of giving us what we can never get on our own no matter how rich we are or how smart we try to be in order to get. God is a giver per excellence.

I pray for you and with you that in this season and beyond that you and members of your family will not labour in vain by the power in the name of Jesus.
