*REPENT AND BE BAPTISED PT11*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit*.
*Acts 2:38*.

Do you remember that bro Peter talked about baptism in the name of Jesus? Before talking about the remission of sin? The bible told us that there is no other name given among men by which we shall be saved accept the name of Jesus.
*And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved*.
*Acts.4.12*.

Now the reason why the name of Jesus was specifically mentioned there is because He alone carries the grace that guarantees our salvation and it is His death and resurrection that we are baptised into. Amen!!!

That is why for baptism to be valid you have to subscribe totally to the Lordship of Jesus, you must make up your mind to follow Jesus come rain come shine even to the point of shedding your blood for that cause.

Another thing that makes baptism valid is that you must forsake your evil ways and make a total return to Jesus and to surrender totally to Him with a firm resolution never to go back to your old ways of life.

You must know that baptism means to die to sin and live unto righteousness. You must know that it is not all about forsaking your old ways of life but that there must be a resolution to live out the Christian calling as a believer.

I pray for you and with you that anyone that wants to make you a project of attack or persecution because you are a believer may the God of heaven shield you from all of them by the power in the name of Jesus
