*PROMISE MADE PROMISE KEPT PT9*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call*."
*Acts 2:38-39*.

By way of summary we have seen that the promise we will receive after baptism is a free gift not paid for because there is no way we can pay for it no matter how rich we are and even the baptism also is a free gift from our loving Father.

And this free gift according to bro Peter is the person of the Holy Spirit and He is given so cheaply because He has been promised and we are witnesses that this promise made has been a promise kept.

Another good news here is that this promise is not for us alone but for us and our children can you imagine how good this wonderful God is? Giving us a promise and making it generational.

This promise is not for only those close to Jesus but for all both far and wide meaning that distance is not and will never be a barrier, what this means is that by virtue of the promise all of us have been made brothers and sisters of Jesus.

Finally this promise according to bro Peter is not for only those who have already been baptized but for all who will later join by way of baptism so if you have not joined and have not been enjoying this promise please join the train so that you can enjoy this blessing also.

I pray for you and with you that you will not be missing when it matters most by the power in the name of Jesus
