*PROMISE MADE PROMISE KEPT PT7*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call*."
*Acts 2:38-39*.

The major challenge here is not to transmit the promise to your children alone but that the promise must as a matter of necessity reach those that are far of which means that you are not only transmitting to your children but to those that are not your children as well.

The heart of the matter here is how do you transmit to people afar when you have not transmitted to your children because charity they say begins at home. Let your good intentions start from your children because it is only then that you can think of people outside your children.

My father of blessed memory once prayed for me thus "that anyone that wants to hurt me will first and foremost experiment whatever he or she want to do to me with himself or herself and after that he or she will try it with his or her children before asking me whether i would want, reason is for me to make my decisions from what i see from his or her life and that of their children".

Speaking to Timothy his beloved son in the Lord, bro Paul told Timothy that Whosoever should think of transmitting this promise to those afar should first of all be able to rule their own house that is that they must see to it that they have done it at home first(the home is the place of practice before going out)
*One who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?)*; *1Tim 3:4-5*.

If am to paraphrase what he said here i will say that you cannot do it outside if you are unable to do it at home because according to him if your people cannot believe you who will?
*He said to them, "You will surely say this proverb to Me, 'Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country*.'" *Lk 4:23*.

I pray for you and with you that anyone that wants to do you harm will start from himself or herself then try it with his or her family before asking you whether you would want by the power in the name of Jesus.

*COUNSEL*. Don't ever give up on your *faith* and never loose *hope* and be fervent in *prayers* and praise knowing that *God*, your father *loves* you specially and personally and will never leave you nor forsake you.

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave. He destroyed death He rendered the grave powerless and made it impotent for eternity. All that he did for you and me. We are the alleluia people  Our Christ is risen indeed never to die again.
