*PROMISE MADE PROMISE KEPT PT4*

*Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call*."
*Acts 2:38-39*.

Having seen that it is true to transmit this promise to our children from what we saw in the lives of Lois, Eunice and Abraham let us proceed to see by the help of the Holy Spirit what made them able to do just that.

First and foremost you will agree with me that it was not achieved by mere wish, no sir, there was something that pushed them into believing in that cause and there is something that gave them the conviction that it is possible to do so. It is called faith in God.

I want to believe that they had this conviction bases on their faith in God that it is possible hence they went ahead to try it and they succeeded. Remember that your mindset is your handset. If your mind cannot carry it your hand cannot either. You cannot be chicken hearted and expect a lion share. Mba, it doesn't work like that.

Additionally they did not just make up their mind to do it but they committed themselves to doing it. Apart from not wishing it there must be a commitment to make it work and to see it work. Nothing works until somebody work it out.

Moreso as people of faith i believe that they placed God where God really belonged in the whole arrangement. Do you know that many of us believers make God a spare tyre. Yes you heard me, a spare tyre that we need only when we have ran out of what we think we have.

Many of us never put God first, and some that put God first neglect the work aspect of it. Hear me child of God, putting God first does not in anyway mean that you should neglect work and knowing what to do(work) does not mean that you don't need God. You need to balance the two.

I pray for you and with you that your children will live to bring glory to your home and family and world and not shame and scandals by the power in the name of Jesus.

*COUNSEL*. Don't ever give up on your *faith* and never loose *hope* and be fervent in *prayers* and praise knowing that *God*, your father *loves* you specially and personally and will never leave you nor forsake you.
