*CUT TO THE HEART PT8*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.


The writer of the letter to the Hebrews told us that the word of the Lord that made the hearers of bro Peter to be "cut to the heart" is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart and having seen what discerner means we will now look at how it made them to be "cut to the heart"

*For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart*. *Heb 4:12*.

First and foremost the word of the Lord makes us to know what is good and what is bad thereby helping us in making sound decision on what to believe and what we have believed that is erroneous.

The word of the Lord makes us to understand spiritual truths which helps us to make sound decision as far as matters of faith is concerned 

The word of the Lord exposes us to ourselves, it makes us to know the truth that will eventually set us free if and only if we accept the truth that we know and not just for knowing sake.

The word of the Lord brings us closer to God and you know that the closer you are to God the more your errors are exposed to you and the more your errors are exposed to you the more the desire to forsake them and turn a new lead.

I pray for you and with you that anyone fighting you secretly will receive open disgrace and disappointment and frustration by the power in the name of Jesus.
