*CUT TO THE HEART PT5*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.

We have seen that what was used to cut them to the heart was not Cutlass or gun but the word of the Lord and we went ahead to see how the word of God does that and the writer of the letter to the Hebrews told us that the word of God is powerful.

*For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart*. *Heb 4:12*.

Apart from the fact that the word of the Lord is powerful we also know as we saw in the same letter to the Hebrews that the word of God is "living" and the big question there is how is the word living?

To say that the word of the Lord is living means that the word of the Lord has the capacity and capabilities to make what is dead to come back to life, it has the power to revive what is weak and it has the power of dynamism(that is to say that it can perform multiple task)

Have you not heard that you cannot give what you don't have? The word of the Lord does not have life but it is life itself.
*It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life*. *Jn 6:63*.

There are three states of a man's heart according to bro Paul. The heart can be said to be sick, it can be said to be weak and it can be said to be sleeping and in all these conditions the word of the Lord has the capacity to bring life to it in other to make it lively once again.
*For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep*. *1 Cor 11:30*.

These kinds of sicknesses, weaknesses and sleeping are not physical but the state of the heart so they are the consequences of not belonging to the body of Christ and allowing the word of the Lord to find full expression in ones life actions or lack of reverence of the Lord.

I pray for you and with you that any hand blocking your blessings from reaching you or finding full expression in your life withers now by the power in the name of Jesus

LET US PRAY* *HE HAS RISEN* *Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee*, *Lk 24:5-6*. Jesus conquered sin. He conquered the grave.
