*CUT TO THE HEART PT4*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.

They were cut to the heart not with razor blade or Cutlass but with the word of the Lord and one will not be surprised because the word of God is shaper than a double edged sword. Let us see how the writer of the letter to the Hebrews describes the word of the Lord to know how they were cut to the heart.

*For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart*. *Heb 4:12*.

He started by telling us that the word of the Lord is powerful, Amen!!!. To say that the word of the Lord is powerful is to say that it carries some potentials to do and undo and that it has the ability to control or influence people, hearts, events, and even situations.

The word of God has the ability and capacity to exercise authority and dominion over any soul or life because all things were created by the word and as such it has authority over all lives, events and situations.

To say that the word of God is powerful is to say that it has the ability to effect a positive change in the lives of the hearers. It has the capacity to impact on any live what it takes to change positively whatever that comes that comes in contact with.

The word of God is powerful because it has the potential to exert its influence over anything or circumstances. For instance a broken heart can be amended by the word of God.

I pray for you and with you that any evil in this Ember months will not find a place in your life and family by the power in the name of Jesus.
