*CUT TO THE HEART PT3*

*Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do*?"
*Acts 2:36*.

Having seen that the message of salvation has to do with the now and the readiness to accept the message without delay let us take a look at what happened to them when they heard the message.

From the biblical account of where we read we were told that they were caught to the heart when they heard the message and the big question then is "what does it mean to be caught to the heart"?

In biblical context to be caught to the heart means that when they heard the message of salvation they were filled with deep emotional and spiritual impact, which resulted in profound realisation of their need for God and the determination to follow Him, to do His will and to accept the message wholeheartedly.

To be caught to the heart also means the conviction of their sins due to their encounter of a loving God who deserves nothing but love in return for the love that He first loved us, 

This encounter and the willingness to return to God love for love is born out of the piercing of their heart by the message which is a sign of what they fell in their innermost being.

This piercing of their heart is as a result of their wholeheartedly acceptance of the message of salvation and their openess to the message and to accept the message no matter what they have to let go for the message to have its full effect in their lives.

I pray for you and with you that the love of God which surpasses all understanding will lead us to love Him in return by way of holiness of life by the power in the name of Jesus
