*YOU TOO CAN RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT*

*And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance*.
*Acts 2:4*.

Bro Luke told us that they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and if they were all filled with the Holy Spirit it follows that you and i can as well be filled with the same Holy Spirit if and only if we do what they did 

Remember that before the Holy Spirit came upon them suddenly that they did something which bro Luke did not tell us but we were able to know some of them through what we were told by the same bro Luke earlier and like we have said, for us to receive the Holy Spirit too there are certain things that we must do on addition to the things that we have seen that the apostles did.

One of the things that we must do to be filled with the Holy Spirit is to ask the father for the out pour of the Holy Spirit upon our lives. Ask the Father to fill you, and by faith receive that infilling. 
*If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!*" *Lk 11:13*.

By being filled with the Holy Spirit it means that they were ready to submit to the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, not partial or half submission but full submission to the leading and directives of the Holy Spirit
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Rom 8:14.

You don't just ask God for the gift of the Holy Spirit you must be ready to be empowered by the Spirit of God's to live a life that reflects God's will and purpose. I'm other words you must allow the Holy Spirit to find expression in your life and you must bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Having done that you must realise that your life is in the hands of God and as such you must know that you have been empowered to live the life God intended for you by submitting to the presence, power and purpose of the Holy Spirit in your lives.

I pray for you and with you that the fire if the Holy Spirit will burn off every chaff in your life and bring out the best in you by the power in the name of Jesus
