*STOP PRESUMPTION*

*Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority*.

Jesus was teaching His disciples the importance of being together bringing to their notice that they should expect the coming of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit will come when they are united because the Holy Spirit is a spirit of love and as such can only dwell where there is love.

Unfortunately for the disciples their minds where still on how to rule kingdoms of the earth even after Jesus had spent about forty days still teaching them about the kingdom and reminding them of all that they need to know about the kingdom and how they should wait to receive the Holy Spirit in order to make it to heaven but their mind was still in what they will gain here on earth.

Let me quickly bring to our remembrance their perception of the mission of Christ and then conclude this message, I mean the discussion between Cleopas and his friend on their way to Emmaus.
*But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened*. *Lk 24:21*.

While Jesus was busy teaching them about the kingdom they were busy hoping for the restoration of the kingdom of Isreal and even after His resurrection they were still in that mood.

Am i saying that we should focus on Heaven and not mind the things of the earth? No sir, what am saying here is that we should not be so earthly conscious as to loose the consciousness of heaven. While we are earthly relevant and impactful we must at the same time strive to enter heaven on a very serious note.

We must not allow the preparation to go to heaven make us earthly useless neither should we allow the strive to be earthly useful make us loose the preparation to go to heaven. We must use whatever we do here on earth to help us prepare well for heaven and we must allow our consciousness of going to heaven make us do all that we do here on in such a way that it will and can take us to heaven.

I pray for you and with you that where things that makes for godliness and wellbeing are not working for others that your story will not be the same with that of others by the power in the name of Jesus.
