OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY

*OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY*

*And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now*."
*Acts 1:4-5*.

Do you see the reason why the disciples went back to Jerusalem? They did not go to Jerusalem because they don't have anywhere else to go but they went back to Jerusalem because the master asked them to do so because obedience they say is better than sacrifice.

So when you hear that they were together in one accord it is as a result of the finished work of Jesus on the disciples. Bro Luke told us that he taught them many things about the kingdom and from what we are seeing the kingdom starts with how we live our lives here on earth no wonder Jesus taught them to pray thus "your will be done on earth as it is on heaven".

So Jesus established the kingdom of God here on earth and one of the ways that he taught us on how to live out that kingdom on earth is to listen to him and obey him. Now they are to expect the coming of the Holy Spirit and it is necessary that they know what to do on how to receive the Holy Spirit and how to work with him and nobody can teach them better about the subject matter but the one from whom the Holy Spirit will come.

One of the things that i strongly believe that he taught them is what can help them to prepare well for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself taught them. "To wait" as far as God is concerned one of the major ways to receive is to wait. A waiting time for God is not a waste of time but rather a period of gestation.

Another thing that he taught them was how to believe and trust in God's promises, he said to them to wait for the promises of the father and believe you me if we have to receive anything from God we must learn to trust God's promises and come to think of it if God can raise Jesus from the dead because of His promises why cant we trust his promises? What can be greater than fulfilling His promise of raising Jesus from the dead.

I pray for you and with you that any Jonah(unfriendly friend) that entered your boat (life) for you not to get to your Tarshish may heaven throw them into the sea of no return by the power in the name of Jesus.

Good day beloved and do enjoy a blessed day. Peace be with you.

To all of us celebrating anything today this is wishing you the best.
