*BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT PT14*

*And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance*.
*Acts 2:4*.


We have seen that the spirit that God has given to may can be defiled thereby needing cleansing, renewal and restoration because the spirit is Holy and needed to be in that state hence God Himself the owner and giver of the spirit tells us this.
"*Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy*. *Lev 19:2*.

God wants you and i to represent Him and to do that effectively we need to be like Him so that anyone that sees us will see God through us and the character and nature of God is holiness. The spirit that God gave to us is holy  hence it becomes expedience that we be holy and try to remain in that state.

One of the way to be holy is to be filled with the holy Spirit so that all that we do will be under the influence of the Holy Spirit hence St Paul will tell us this.
*And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ*,  *Eph 5:18-20*.

When the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. None of them received a half measure but were all filled to the full and if st Paul who has an experience of what it takes to be filled with the Holy Spirit can tell us to be filled with the Holy Spirit it then means that there are certain things that we can do to grieve the Holy Spirit which can make Him to leave us.

I pray for you and with you that whatever that will make you to carry less of what God has packaged for you catches fire now by the power in the name of Jesus.
