*BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT PT13*

*And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance*.
*Acts 2:4*.

We have seen that the Holy Spirit was given not because man had no spirit in him because immediately after creating man God had to breath into man the spirit of life and man became a living being. So the life of man was as a result of the spirit breathed into him by God but something happened that brought about the birthing of a new spirit and that we will find out today from king David.

*Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me*. *Ps.51.10*.

From this text which king David penned down in one of his Psalms we understand that the spirit of man was stained by sin which means that anytime we sin that something happens to our spirit man.

If the spirit can be stained it follows that two things were involved or will be involved 1. Cleaning or 2 recreating or recreation. It follows that either of the two is what man needed. In the era or dispensation of king David what they had was cleansing by killing and sprinkling the blood of animals but in our dispensation Christ became our Paschal( death and resurrection) sacrifice.

There is another one that king David mentioned which is the renewal of the spirit. In the case of dirt it only requires cleansing and in the case of recreation a new one is needed like in the case of the apostles on the day of Pentecost but in the case of renewal it has to do with both recreation and cleansing.

All these amounts to taking away the Holy Spirit from us hence king David begged God not to take the holy Spirit from his because the spirit belongs to God as such God has the power to take it which leads to what we call "spiritual death" and the solution to all these is  a return to God because the principal cause of all these is a separation from God by reason of sin.
*Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me*. *Ps 51:11*.

I pray for you and with you that powers that says that you will not experience the glory of the later in your life and family will be put to shame by the power in the name of Jesus.
