*INGRATITUDE WILL COST YOU YOUR ALTITUDE*

*So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings*.

The other day we talked about greed not just as an instrument in the hands of the serpent but one of the things that has plagued the world and will continue to plague the world because it is on the increase on daily basis and today we are looking at ingratitude. Ingratitude is the twin brother of greed, they work hand in hand.

It is said that it is only great fools that are not grateful and for me it can only take one taking the advise of the serpent to be a great fool because it is only the advise of the serpent can birth that kind of lifestyle and character in man.

Apart from greed another brother of ingratitude which we have treated before is "entitlement mentality" actually it takes entitlement mentality to be an ingrate because to be an ingrate means that you are saying that you deserve more than what you are given even when you did not buy it or merit it.

Ingratitude is one of the major ways of offending God because not been grateful means that you are either saying that you did not receive what was given to you which means that you are saying that you create what you have which makes you a god to yourself and self sufficient and as such have nothing to thank God for.

*I am the Lord, that is My name; And my glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images*. *Is 42:8*. 

We know that God will never share His glory with any man and so ingratitude is a way of taking the glory that is due to God to oneself which means that you have said that instead of giving the glory to God that it is better to give it to yourself because you are the god of yourself.

Ingratitude makes one to idolise himself or herself making the individual a god to himself or herself and so making one to be a worshipper of himself or herself that is why ingratitude can always stop one from getting to his or her attitude.
*Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame who set their mind on earthly things*. *Phi 3:19*.

I pray for you and with you that the Lord will command all the systems to cooperate with you to guarantee that you succeed and succeed well in life by the power in the name of Jesus.
